The Trader Joe's around here no longer seems to carry their brand of Tofurky-style roasted thing with gravy. Is that chain-wide or just ours?

Mine doesn't have it either. My guess it is a seasonal offering only.

Well, the acutal Tofurkey was seasonal, so I think that the TJ brand is as well.

As for the Kale Chips. As someone that is SUPER cheap, and does not like kale all that much, I have to say I LOOOOVE those things. More like half a serving though.

Our TJs didn't have Tofurkey this year. I was annoyed.

I like the boxed "Indian Fare" and normally I cut it with rice or something to make two servings. Today, I left my rice at home, so I'm just eating the whole thing without any rice or tofu to cut it and OH MY GOD it is much spicier than I thought. I am really enjoying it, but DANG.

The chickpeas are too spicy for me without rice! I do that too!

Sad to see that the salt and pepper chocolate is gone from my TJs. I loved that stuff. Maybe I've just been unobservant before, but it seems like there's been an increase in the variety of organic produce. My store had organic bananas, bagged onions, and peppers (plus more), which I hadn't noticed on other trips. Also, they have the pink Himalayan salt in a grinder for $1.99, in case anyone is looking for it for all the Betty Goes Vegan recipes.

Yes, we asked, and it's a seasonal item. Alas. (Note to future self: buy 50 bazillion of them for the freezer.)

Oh man. Yeah, no kidding-- gonna have to stock up next time I see them. They were quite good.

I actually boiled them in the bag to feed the kids when C&S was in class. They were enough that we could all eat some and there'd be enough left over for her when she got home.

We've had the vanilla and the strawberry; both good!

Wait, Desdemona, did you mean chocolate and strawberry? Or did you have the vanilla soy cream? Or are they actually selling vanilla coconut milk ice cream?

I've been loving the vanilla soy yogurt tubs lately. I just bought some last weekend, now today there was no sign of it. I asked and it was "un-orderable." So it's either been pulled or discontinued. Sad.

NO! That better not happen here or there will be trouble, bisques. That vanilla yogurt with the ginger-almond-cashew granola and a handful of blueberries is my favorite breakfast!

That sucks! Its whole soy yogurt, so at least you can still get it at whole foods.

Is that the big container? I will be so upset to lose that, it is such a great deal pricewise and the only soy yogurt I just love. So creamy and yum. And being yogurt its not like I can stockpile a bunch :(

I've just discovered their soy creamer, and I really like it. I don't know what took me so long to try it.

The Trader Joe's here was out of it for a couple of weeks, but I went there this morning and it was back.

I tried the shredded vegan moz, I was expecting something really bad but in the pasta bake I made it was good! Also for lunch I made english muffin pizzas for the boyfriend with it, he said not bad but better in the pasta bake!

I am so happy to see a low-priced coconut oil spray! I think those are great and use it for sauteeing, roasting and popcorn.

We're taking a trip to the US and will be staying with my BIL and SIL who LOVE Trader Joe's. I believe they do all their shopping there and they talk about it constantly. They are not much for cooking and are keen on the pre-packaged and frozen meals, etc.

Anyway, they're not vegan, but always sweetly offer to pick up something "weird' for me to eat when we visit. What are the best gluten-free vegan things at TJs?

I'm most interested in meal-type things, since produce and nuts and dried fruit are stuff they'd buy anyway. But faux yogurt, cereal, and of course chocolate are also of interest! Thanks everyone!

Is it wrong that I want my next vacation to be somewhere near a TJ's? I feel like booking a vacation spot based on a grocery store might be a but much.

Not unreasonable at all! I live in Sarasota, FL, which is a gorgeous vacation spot - and we just so happen to have a TJ's. I'm sure there are many other suitable vacation destinations that coordinate with yummy and inexpensive vegan noms.
