Noooooo! That is my favorite tofu too.

We're still getting it (the Wildwood) with no problem in Seattle, so hopefully it's just a temporary issue.

the TJ's I went to said it was discontinued! I hope they mean just their kind, not the 'real' one (i.e. wildwood)

I have to say, they had some quality problems. I got a few bad ones last summer. Different lots.

bad tofu is so, so, so, so foul.

I had a bad pack last week. It was a couple days before the best by date and I thought it smelled a little off. I ate it anyway. Bad decision.

PSA: At my Trader Joe's, they've replaced the (vegan) chocolate chips with (not vegan) chocolate chunks.

I feel like their super firm, super high protein tofu has been really bad lately. It's tasted off and I swear both of the packages I purchased were spoiled. I tried looking through them before I bought another one the other day but they all looked bad.

Be careful with those dried mangoes! They are so chewy that I once chipped a tooth while biting in. I chipped the tooth by slamming my other tooth into it from trying so hard to bite through. I did not actually chip my tooth on the mango itself. But they are delicious.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit I ate them all in a day. Now I'm demolishing the package of dried figs, which I find myself now sleep eating.

The chocolate chips and extra firm tofu haven't gone anywhere in the northwest US!

we still have 'em on the East Coast too - my partner who does the shopping says they've always been right next to the non-vegan chunks too. But you can bet I told him to buy several bags just in case!

That's great news! (Although I don't understand why they have to go back to the drawing board to figure out how to make it vegan.)

I just came to complain about the soy chorizo... I hope it's true it will be back vegan! I was so excited to see it back on the shelf, and then upset it wasn't vegan-- roller coaster of emotions!!

So true!

If you are a fan of the PPK Leek and Bean Cassoulet, TJs now has frozen, cut, cleaned, cheap leeks.

Those frozen leeks are great to have lurking in the freezer. When I'm out of onions or too tired, busy, or lazy to chop them, I just throw some frozen chopped leeks in my food and life is good!

A cashier told me today that the meatless meatballs are not discontinued, but temporarily out of stock while they "fix the ingredients", whatever that means. We'll see.

I hope they don't "fix" them by adding dairy and/or eggs. Or meat.

Yes, I did mention that the soyrizo "fix" was not helpful for vegans.

Apparently they're going to discontinue the new soyrizo, and [eventually] bring back a new-new-soyrizo that is vegan like the old soyrizo was: (read all the way to the bottom)
