Some of the newer super Targets have a pretty decent grocery store! One of the stores here has cheaper Amy's, plus Gardein sliders and sausage muffins. (the other one only has Morningstar stuff). They even sell organic veggies and are my only source for organic lemons (except the rare times Wegman's has them).

That must only be at Super Targets because the ones with a regular Fresh Grocery section don't. I just moved to a place where they only have a half Fresh Grocery and it drives me nuts. I'm so used to shopping for my groceries at Target and getting them for super cheap.

I was at Whole Foods yesterday and picked up Nancy's plain. I preferred Wildwood unsweetened plain, but this was is fine for my cheesemaking, since I use a lot of other dominating flavors and it's all cultured some more anyway. I'll be buying more soymilk soon to slowly make my own yogurt in the slow cooker. I don't enjoy eating yogurt as a snack or meal, so I hope it'll work out nicely.

Yeah, I think the expanded Amy's and Gardein selections are more at Super Target. We have both regular and Super Target here and the Super Target has a lot more vegan options in the frozen section.

TJ's sells bags of organic lemons and limes for two bucks! They're a staple for me, and since I eat the rind, I always go for organic.

I don't have a super target near me but my Target does sell gardein. The grocery section is kind of sucky overall but it is a possible source of soy milk, almond milk or gardein if I need it.

This thread is making me sad.

Does not help that my omni partner is allllll about Greek Yogurt right now and is so impressed with all the options. blah.

I really miss the plain kind. and the lemon. and lime. and blueberry, mixed berry, strawberry and peach.

The only soy yogurt I can get here in Halifax is Yoso (which is not good, IMO) and Nancy's, which I don't mind but I find way too thin. Thankfully I really like Amande and coconut yogurt, but I just wish it was higher in protein.

It kinda annoys me that the "Greek" style vegan yogurts are just riding on the coat tails of the whole Greek yogurt trend. The vegan Greek yogurts often have very little protein and tons of added sugar, so I guess the only thing making them "Greek style" is all the added thickeners. Don't get me wrong, they are kind of tasty, but not worth $2 a cup.

Oh, also, did anyone notice the NuSilk has been hit with the Evil Grocery Shrink Ray? I think it is even less than 6 ounces now, although they changed the shape of the container to confuse us and hide the change. It is relatively tasty, but I miss Whole Soy unsweetened. I can't be bothered to make my own soygurt these days, and Whole Soy really is the best.

And what the hell is NuSilk? I googled to no avail.

I should have read this thread earlier. I went to a store I don't usually go to and saw Nancy's. I bought it without really thinking, and it was not good. I think the main problem is that I don't like agar. It adds a subtle but distinctive taste that I just find unpleasant and can't ignore.

I decided to use it as a starter for a new batch of home made yogurt, so let's hope for the best.

Hahah I did the same thing. I was about to post "What the hell is this Nancy's shiitake that I just bought? It's forking gross!" but you've already said it's shiitake. Definitely not good, not even a good consistency. It made me like Almond Dream heaps more.

The natural supermarket on my block is currently having a big yogurt week sale and I looked and looked hoping for a new option, but alas. I almost bought the plain large tub of coconut yogurt (SD) but the slightly smaller size put me off. The other option was Nancy's. Maybe small O'Soy, too.

Amande is still missing and yoso is just too nasty for me to attempt again. I'd take $2 tiny cups of Amande in a heartbeat right now.

Amande has been at Wegmans recently. They had the little cups of super sweet Silk, coconut milk, coconut milk greek, and amande. They only have one or two flavors of each (usually the same damn flavors too, so instead of a choice of flavors you just get to pick which brand of strawberry or blueberry you want.)

I have always thought Nancy's wasn't vegan because of dairy cultures. I don't know where I got that idea, but I've always ignored it because of that. But if it's nasty then I guess I haven't missed out on anything.

I'd pay a lot of money right now to stick my face in a tub of unsweetened Whole Soy. PLEASE come back.

I just had a debate at a meetup today about yogurt! My friend thinks the coconut stuff is delicious and I was appalled. Haha. She's soy-free though so she has never taken part in the miracle that is Whole Soy.

I can't stand the So Delicious brand, nor Amande.

I did try the Silk yesterday. It was ok. Good even. But miniscule. What is this, yogurt for ants?
