I'm not sure why I like Paula Deen, but I do. She's fun to watch and she's totally crazy! On Paula's Party she once licked chocolate off an audience member's face. she's nutso! I think, also, I just like people named Paula!

I like her. She's got her own gimmicky thing. She's southern and likes butter! And she's nice and smiley. Nice and smiley people are kind of why I like the Food Network, it's a refreshing change of pace from the rest of tv.

She also doesn't pretend that anything she makes is healthy, from what I've seen. She's like the southern Julia Child. Pound of butter, pound of cream.

I feel like I should hate Paula Deen, but I can't. I will watch her show and gag, but I can't hate her.

I don't care about the meat/butter thing, I'm too busy laughing/gasping at what they make and how they act. My all time Paula Deen favourite is the Paula Deen Fries A Cheescake-clip on youtube. Makes me laugh every time. Ofcourse I'm well aware of the political aspect of it all, but I think it's ok to laugh at the madness. the endorphines i get from laughing at it gives me energy that goes into the fight for a better world.

I nominate Paula Deen as "celebrity chef most likely unable to cook a vegetable".

I love Paula Deen. She seems like a fun person to be around, she's funny as hell, and her crazy-unhealthy food doesn't bother me at all. And I don't care if her accent is fake. I watch her show, and laugh, and want her to be my third grandma.

nickvicious wrote: I nominate Paula Deen as "celebrity chef most likely unable to cook a vegetable". . . . unless you're using the southern definition of "vegetable," which could include macaroni and cheese. In which case, she's able to cook it to artery-clogging perfection.
