I'm attending a fondue brunch party and would like to make some really awesome tasting cheese like fondue that will blow real cheese fondue out of the water. Any really good recipes out there that you have made yourself that got excellent reviews from vegans and omnis?

I just made the Real Food Daily cookbook's cashew cheddar cheese, and it's the best vegan cheese sauce I've ever tasted - and I've tried several. In fact, I think it's better than real cheese sauce. My husband, who still eats cheese on occasion, loved it too. We just scarfed down two plates of nachos smothered in it.
I think it would be great as a fondue! If you use it as fondue, keep it warm in a crockpot or over a flame, as it does thicken and harden as it cools.

I want the Real Food Daily book so bad!

Some advice on what not to make- I tried the Uncheese Cookbook fondue recently and I thought it was just awful. It has white wine in it, and while I was making it I thought it looked like too much but I put it in anyway. I was right to doubt it, the sauce just tasted like hot, thick, gross wine. I spent about an hour trying to fix it, then I just gave up and ate all the bread and vegetables I'd bought for the fondue on their own. What a waste of decent wine.

There are some fondue recipes in the Vegan Table. I don't remember if any of them are cheese fondue, though. It might just be chocolate. I'm feeling too lazy to get up and look.

Thanks! I DO have the uncheese cookbook, so I guess I'll stay clear of fondue from that book! I love love love cashews, but tend to have allergic reactions when i eat them, not that it's stopped me before...:)
