-Sugar cookies
-Fudge
-Biscotti (various flavors)

I'll keep an eye on this thread for more ideas though! I already saw someone post about gingerbread cookies. Does anyone have a recipe for them?

... I blog about cookies a lot. http://megatarian.blogspot.com/2010/11/ ... d-men.html
I really like that recipe because I found a lot of gingerbread recipes are really just sugar cookies with spices. These gingerbread men are GINGERBREAD!

Thank you! Your gingerbread people look so cute! I'll probably end up making these.

Isa and Terry's cut out gingerbread recipe in the recipe section here makes the best gingerbread cookies I've ever eaten.

Chocolate Crinkles! They're the best.
And either gingerbread cupcakes with cream cheese icing, or vanilla with crushed peppermints!

this weekend, to bring to my brother's house:
rumnog pecan
regular choc chip
Snickerdoodles - but I don't know which recipe to use! it will either be the VCIYCJ or Vegan Cookie Connoisseur one prolly
and I already made the VCON double choc chip recipe with white choc chips and dried cherries

I have to pick some different kinds to have at our house for general eating and my sis-in-law's visit too. And I will make fudge too because that thread on here has so many good-sounding recipes.

So far, I'm making fudge and pb pillows for my friends as gifts. I'm also planning on making cookies for my family. Last year, I made the mexican chocolate snickerdoodles, but I think they were 'too weird' for the fam. So...cowboy cookies? I want to make something new and different, but also something that my family won't think is too out there....
Cowboy cookies are a super win. The peanut apple pretzel drops (p. 64) are awesome if you like all of those ingredients. They're a spectacular combination.

I second the peanut apple pretzel drops, they're fantastic!

Ooh, I almost forgot about the peanut apple pretzel drops! Thanks for the suggestion! Has anyone made them without peanuts? I think my mom said something about one of my younger cousins being diagnosed with a peanut allergy.

Well, for Round I of cookie gifts with my husband's family I made sugar cookies, orange spritz, chocolate/almond/cherry, fudge puddles, and gingerbread. Round II will include more sugar cookies, gingerbread, Spritz, and probably rugalach, and something chocolate/PB, and something nutty.

What recipe do you use for spritz cookies? I saw my mom's cookie press in the garage last night and decided I should make some this year. We used to make them every Christmas when I was a kid.

I know I'll make gingerbread at some point, but I don't know what else yet.

I didn't know that "spritz" was the name for cookie press cookies until I read this post. I just got a press and I thought I'd have to veganize one of the recipes it came with. Now I feel dumb.

For my work holiday party (tomorrow), I'm (in the process of) making GF Crack Rocks (my own recipe, but it's essentially an adapted wedding cookie), Sparkled Ginger Cookies, mint fudge, and "Mexican" fudge (using the MSV recipe I linked in the fudge thread as a base).

Later in the month, I might make some chai spice shortbread for some people who can't make it tomorrow. Or maybe something else, I haven't quite decided yet. I'll probably also make loads more fudge - I made it at least thrice last year. Other than that, I'm not sure. I don't know if I'm gonna be seeing any friends over the holidays - if so, I'll make something else (or maybe gingerbread cupcakes with lemony buttercream).

Wow I can't wait to see all the cookie porn.

Mixmaster mo you are my baking hero.

Also, for people still undecided, I highly recommend the chewy chocolate raspberry cookies from vcon. Last year they were a huge hit and super easy to make.

The Pignoli and macaroons are new for me this year, I've never made them before. I hope they come out good since they will be gifts!

For roll and cut-out cookies, I love this one: http://www.johnandkristie.com/archives/ ... gar_c.html

I just looked at the date and realized xmas is practically here. I promised Mr Von I'd made a crepe load of cookies he can bring to work this week and on xmas day as he will be working.

I will definitely make my 3 favourites:
sparkled ginger - vwav
crinkled chocolate cookies - vctow
hazelnut thumbprints - vctow

I may also try the chocolate peanut butter pillows, a chocolate/mint cookie, a biscotti....not decided yet.

I'm making the chocolate-chocolate chip walnut cookies from Veganomicon for my staff holiday party on Tuesday, minus the nuts since my boss is allergic to nuts. They're always delicious!

I am going to second this. I made these ginger bread cookies two weeks ago and brought them to Sunday lunch at my parents and they were all gone that night!

I am making lots of mint chocolate chip cookies (basically my variation of the Vcon Chocolate-Chocolate Chip-Walnut Cookies, where I add chopped starlight mints or candy canes in place of walnuts). Best Christmas cookies ever (other than gingerbread, but I am far too lazy to roll anything out this year).

You don't have to roll gingerbread out. Just roll the dough into a log, chill, and slice into circles. Round gingerbread cookies will still be supper delicious!

You know, I ought to do that for my dad if I don't go crazy and decide to make 90000000 pfeffernusse instead. He doesn't like mint and I've been trying to think of something he'd like other than the same old oatmeal cookies I always bake when I'm at my parents' house...and come to think of it, last time I made gingerbread for Christmas, he was the main one eating it.
