So much oatmeal love! makes me happy.
I like making apple pie oatmeal with applesauce, chopped apples, raisins, cinnamon, brown sugar and/or maple syrup and almond butter if I have it. So perfect on cold mornings.
I love oatmeal with mashed banana too, especially because I don't have to add extra sugar due to the sweetness of the fruit. Then I add cinnamon and allspice and some vanilla for banana bread flavour, mmm. Top with peanut butter.

and cinnamon on top!!

Blueberries (I have a bag in the freezer, I just grab a handful and throw them in!)
Agave (The flavored ones are good for this!)
Crasins
You can stir a spoonful of preserves in
Chocolate chips
Maple syrup
Sometimes, I'll accidentally make it with too much water (I like my oatmeal really thick,) and I'll just crumble in a granola bar. It absorbs all the water right up!

corn, cheddar soy cheese, & salt. it sounds so gross but tastes so good.

Wow, that's really different! I can't wait to try it though. Do you cook it all together at once or add the soy cheese after?

it depends on how good the soy cheese i have is at melting! if it'll melt just from being added at the end, i'll do that -- otherwise, i'll cook it with the oatmeal.

I like savoury oatmeal too but not for breakfast.
Mix in some nooch or bouillon, shredded carrots, green peas/corn, top with salsa, black beans, guac, whatever floats your boat really!
Yum.

Lately I've been eating oats uncooked, and mixed with chia seeds, high fiber cereal, fruit, almond milk, and some hemp seeds. Overnight oats made in the jar of nut butter when there is just a bit left --holy cow good. I find I don't need a ton of sugar with overnight or uncooked oats. I like my oats so they're nice chewy.

Sometimes I'll make banana split oatmeal - peanut butter, dried cherries, strawberry preserves, cocoa, banana, and pineapple tidbits. It's so good.

I also like using quinoa as a breakfast cereal, cooked with a splash of juice, and I add a touch of cinnamon, dried fruit, and nuts.

Banana split oatmeal sounds sooo good! How do you make the overnight oats with the nut butter? I don't think I've ever made overnight oats before. This is great, I just bought a ton of quinoa and was thinking of eating it for breakfast but wasn't sure how to make it breakfasty.

Speculoos spread...

When I make overnight oats, I usually just stir a spoonful of almond butter into them right before I eat them, so good.

oh, yeah -- me too! i normally have that as a late-night snack when i am working.

I don't know what Speculoos is.

Alright! So this morning I had 1 mashed banana+1 packet hemp oatmeal+some crushed up pecans and it was sooo good!

Walnuts, raisins, and maple syrup. :3
Sometimes flax seed.

I like my steel cut oats topped with sliced almonds and dried sweetened cherries. Yum!

I love this thread! I never thought to add nut butters to oatmeal. I'll have to try that. Here's my favorite:

-steel cut oats
-almond milk
-almond extract
-vanilla extract
-dried cherries
-chopped almonds
-cinnamon stick

Throw in crockpot, wake up to breakfast. YUM.

It is! I make some on the stovetop this morning, but burned it, so there really is no incentive to not be lazy and throw it in the crockpot next time.

I actually don't have a crockpot, but I will definitely tried it on the stove. (:

Steel-cut oats either with peanut butter and ground flax, or with sesame oil, cork sauce and green onion. Either one for breakfast.
