Uhoh. The chocolate dipped macaroon recipe calls for silken extra firm tofu, but all I have is non-silken types. (couldn't find mori nu at the store!)
I have extra firm, firm, and soft (!) non-silken tofu - can I use one of these instead?

i'd probably use the soft non silken actually. extra firm won't blend up as nicely, i don't think and you may end up with discernable tofu pieces.

Whoops, too late. I used extra firm, but they seem ok. I never made this recipe before, so I'm not sure how they should come out, and they're not exactly like macaroons that I remember. But they taste good (surprisingly light!) & I don't think there are any tofu bits.
