The best bread I have ever made, hands down, and i made them for scratch, in the morning, for breakfast, in about an hour. Amazing. (they are the reason i am not GF and not 100% raw, dammit!)

What was the best new recipe you discovered this year?

Buttery alfajores from Viva Vegan!. My favorite cookies ever. I can't see them being beaten. They're everything I want in a cookie. That's it! You can put them on my epitaph, carve it in stone. *dusts hands*

Both seitan recipes (red and white) in Terry's Viva Vegan! and all the recipes in the book that use them. Wonderful and easy to make.

Oh HELL yes! I made these for my family and they didn't even last a day.

Also the cardamom marzipan bread Hdog posted in the stollen thread. This was another killer recipe that barely lasted a day with my family and the in-laws.
