I would love to do it, too. I hope there's not a minimum cookbooks- owned requirement, as my library is very small, but it sounds fun!

Oooh I wanna play! Provided we can sit out a week here or there...

I've got:
Veganomicon
Vegan Brunch
A Year in a Vegetarian Kitchen
1000 Vegan Recipes
Vegan Planet
Vegan Vittles

Keep in mind folks...that there are a LOT of recipes out there on the internet...as long as a book has been out for a bit, people end up posting recipes. Plus there's Google book previews and the like.

I have a pretty small selection of vegan cook books, but was able to get most of them through inter library loan last time. I might pop in a bit for another challenge, but I really need to get back to recipe testing now that NYE is over. But even if I don't participate much, I'll love reading about what everyone else does!

I am actually challenging myself to be the first teenager to ever cook through Veganomicon. Just started, but wish me luck!

The Veganomicon Project:

Awesome! I have:

VwaV
V'con
VV
VB
AfR (eventually - it's in the US right now)
Vegan Comfort Food
Vegan Celebrations
Urban Vegan
500 Vegan Recipes
YRR
Get It Ripe
a couple of Bryanna Clark Grogan books (we could do a week using whatever from her, and she has a pretty impressive blog)
Vegan Lunchbox Around the World
The Everyday Vegan and Vive le Vegan (Dreena Burton)
La Dolce Vegan
Vegan Vittles

It's probably better if we don't try to cook through the dessert books, yeah? I mean, it would be tasty, but probably not particularly healthy!

Does anyone still have (or know how to get) access to that voting thing we used last time? When do we want to get started? I figure we can try to vote this week and/or next and start the week after. Or is that leaving it too long? I know a lot of people like to do meal planning, so trying to start next week might not give them enough time if we wait until the end of the week to end voting (even if we start today).

Vegan Planet
American Vegan Kitchen

(...and a pretty long cookbook wishlist, but, alas, not enough money.)

yay! i've got:

Veganomicon
Vegan Brunch
Vegan with a Vengeance
Everyday Vegan
Eat, Drink & Be Vegan
Urban Vegan
500 Vegan Recipes
The Ultimate Uncheese Cookbook
The Idiot's Guide to Vegan Cooking (a surprisingly nice cookbook)
Yellow Rose Recipes
Local Bounty
Vegan Delights (some odd one that my aunt found...it looks interesting)

I also have Papa Tofu and The Joy of Vegan Baking (though i'm not sure i'd be up for baking 3 times in one week).

edited to say that i'd really like to do VWAV, YRR, VB, and EV because i have not used them nearly enough - just a few favorites that i make over and over.

Ooh, I forgot to say I have Ultimate Uncheese.

I'm always up for doing any Isa/Terry book. Even though I use them pretty frequently, I know there are still recipes I'd like to make but haven't. And I really need to go back through my Dreena Burton books, now that I like vegetables.

Should we just create a poll on here to choose the books, or should we do one from another website? I signed up for one, so we can use that if we need to. Do we think one more day for people to say what books they have, then do the poll tomorrow through Friday, then start Monday? Is that enough time for everyone?

I'm totally up for this. I love, but have not made enough from:

Vegan Brunch
Veganomicon
The Passionate Vegetarian (not vegan, but easily vegan-izable)
The Candle Cafe Cookbook
The 30 Minute Vegan
Vegan Comfort Food
My Sweet Vegan
The Joy of Vegan baking
Eat Drink and Be Vegan
Yellow Rose Recipes

Actually, I've never cooked anything from Eat, Drink, and Be Vegan, The 30 Minute Vegan, or The Candle Cafe Cookbook.

I will try to play when I can. I have most of the cookbooks mentioned and haven't cooked out of half of them. I cannot buy another cookbook until I've tried at least one recipe out of the cookbooks I have.

I'll play as well. I have most of the ones mentioned. It'd take me too long to list.

I also have one of the Moosewood cookbooks but that's vegetarian. I can do it on one of the wild card type weeks.

Ooh, I might be into this. Lately I've been feeling completely overwhelmed by all the cookbooks I have and the number of recipes I have yet to try; it's led to my current cooking style of "melt Daiya on stuff". I could use a little direction!

Can a poll be added here, or do we have to start a new thread? I didn't see a way to do it...

Actually I'm going to compile a list but not sure poll is the right way if we want to do this for multiple weeks? I'm going to provide a list of the top cookbooks listed. Then we can say how many weeks we are doing it and pick top books?
