 Post subject: Saving rock hard brownies? Help!

I made the "Ultimate Brownies" from the book Sweet Utopia. They came out rock hard although they were described as fudgy. I thought the oven temperature was off, so I made a second batch, checked the temperature and baked them at 325°F for 30 minutes. (Like the instructions said.) Again, when they had cooled down I had produced another batch of teeth ruining bricks. I haven't figured out what I did wrong yet, but I don't want to toss out the second batch as well. Is there a way to soften them? Or can I turn them into something edible?

grind them in a food processor and use them as cookie crumbs for topping or in a pie crust?

Cover them in ice cream and hot fudge. Or, if they're too hard for that, break them up, put them IN the fudge sauce, heat, and pour over ice cream.

I also second the idea of grinding them up in a food processor and turning them into a pie crust.

You could also treat some of them like biscotti and dip them in hot coffee.

or mix them with a yummy icing and call them "cake balls"
eta - I mean mix the crumbs with the icing.

Thank you all for your advice! I think I am going to follow the cookie crumb suggestion and put them into a smoothie.
I really wonder what I did wrong. I could sell these as hard candy.
