So I used to buy these every so often and hadn't had a bag in a while. I know I'd checked the label and didn't check it every time because well, that's silly. I even found this post about them:

but today I grabbed a bag and before I opened it, happened to notice this:

Did they change the ingredients, or did I somehow overlook a fish ingredient before?

Hmm, yeah it says "Seafood Extract: Spicy Cod Roe Powder, Bonito Extract"

Some of the other stuff on there sounds a little crazy to be in a chip. Disodium Ribonucleotides? Tricalcium Orthophosphate?

I mean I knew they weren't healthy, but I've definitely read the ingredients before and it looked to be vegan. It must have changed I guess? I know I'm not crazy because at least there is that mofo post to back me up.

"Fish ingredients" is the grossest vague thing and the vaguest gross thing I've read all week. Which is a shame because I've never had any kind of seaweed and salt chip and they sound bitchin.

Useless information, but I like how they have Silicon Dioxide as an ingredient. Yummy Sand.

This happened to me with an instant wakame soup packet. Stupid bonito extract.
