Sorry if there is already a topic for this, I searched and found nothing.

Does anyone know if the whole wheat bun used for veggie burgers at Harvey's is vegan or not? I know the burger is, but I just threw out the bun in fear and am now eating a patty with pickles on it. Also, I'm in Canada. I know sometimes that affects these things.

I read somewhere that the bun contains eggs AND dairy, but whether it was white or whole wheat was not specified. I stay away from it just in case, and eating less fast food can never hurt

Totally agree with you there. But on the days I forget my lunch it comes in handy being across the street from my office. Oh well, I just ate the burger without the bun using a knife and fork. I looked silly but it was a sufficient meal.

I must admit I sometimes find myself resorting to junk food for the sake of convenience. Though being a recovering (I want to say recovered, but I don't want to jinx it!) anorexic, I've memorized the nutrition information for pretty much every restaurant around here.

I like to order a patty without a bun in hopes that a lot of vegans will do the same and Harvey's might consider changing the recipe :)

I just ate a veggie burger from Harvey's with a whole wheat bun....
I never though that they would put eggs and dairy in their bun...
What's the point of offering a vegan burger and then only putting it on a non-vegan bun?

I just tried searching their site for ingredients but couldn't find any

woohoo!

I think I found something:
http://www.godairyfree.org/Dining-Out/F ... anada.html

Their white bun contains dairy but not the 100% whole wheat bun.

Crepe. Well, I'm glad I didn't eat the bun!
