I bought a jar of raw cashew butter, and I don't like just eating it off the spoon, which is what I do with all my other nut butters, it's too.... buttery? It makes me feel icky. So, what shall I do with it? Some kind of sauce? Salad dressing? I am drawing a blank, but I suspect if I use it for a sauce, I am going to want it to be an ingredient in the sauce, and not the main base for it, since the texture makes me uncomfortable.

If it's just ground up raw cashews you could use it in recipes that call for ground raw cashews, like tofu cashew ricotta and any number of raw desserts.

make a sauce with it, then toss it with kale and grated carrot and some spicy stuff and then dehydrate it, or bake it as low as you can slipping it over now and then.

Ohh cheesecake, I never thought of that. I did think of the cashew ricotta, but I think I might not like it because of the texture... I think it might fall under the 'too much cashew' banner. I am not sure I have the patience necessary for oven-dehydrating, I am an instant gratification sort of lady :)

If you haven't had the cashew ricotta yet, you should definitely try it. It doesn't really taste much like cashews, just way creamier than the regular tofu ricotta.

I put a dollop in smoothies, with frozen bananas and soymilk. It makes them practically milkshake-y.

In ED&BV there is a recipe for ice cream made in a blender using cashew butter, frozen bananas, and maple syrup. Sounds pretty good. Also, you could stick it in a pesto in place of nuts, or in a dip maybe? I cant think of any dip off the top of my head that calls for cashews but I guess you could improvise.

Thank you for all the suggestions everyone! I'm going to stick with the savoury ones since I'm trying to lose 15lbs of post-relationship weight!
I have the uncheese cookbook, I'll browse that and I'll just start throwing it in random sauces and see what happens
