Yeah that was one of the few things I've tossed in recent memory. I like buckwheat in waffles though so who knows!

I actually really like the stir fried deep fried silken tofu! Its like chewey straws and you can suck out the inside! But maybe I'm weird. I want to try natto again (only had it once on a sushi years ago) and I want to try huitaloche. I can't remember much I've been super grossed by though...I remember once in middle school the chicken lunch was so bad I actually didn't finish it and tossed it, which is weird for me to do.

I never ate school lunches except once in second grade, but in elementary school the hot dogs they'd give people would sometimes have a green hue and they bounced like bouncy balls! Sooooo nasty.

It definitely wasn't preserved. I think it was just bought from the seafood counter. We just removed the inner shell, ink sac, and prepped it for cooking. Still a bizarre thing to do in a biology lab.

Pregan: Forced to try a bite of liver as a child (mom's rule: you can't say you don't like it if you've never tried it). If I knew my grandmother was making liver after that, I had to stay away from her house for a couple of days. Nasty, nasty, nastiness. Raw oysters. Get a good cold - same experience. Pork. Ugh. Eggy things - custards, especially, and undercooked eggs. Duck - tasted like greasy dark meat chicken. I think I just vomited in my mouth. Also, dark meat chicken.
Vegan: Black bean brownies - recommended by a friend, and completely inedible. I think I'm still too much addicted to plain ol' sugar for that to work for me. Chickpea gravy - but it was my mistake. Too much salt, too much nooch. I about died when I tasted it. Most fake cheeses All fake lunchmeats that I've tried

I couldn't think of anything until I got to calamari, and then I remembered the baby octopi served to me at a Peruvian restaurant. SHUDDER. It's been twelve years at least and I will not go anywhere near anything called Peruvian food.

Pregan: Shredded pork loin burrito that made me barf D: Menudo Chicharrón Chapulines (some kind of grasshoppers. oh man.) Calabaza en tacha (horrible piloncillo/pumpkin dessert) Flan Pastel de tres leches - I love the Viva Vegan version, though Shitty vinegar-y champagne Raw tuna, barf. Vegan: Nothing! Except for some noochy sauces. Nooch is delicious, but it can be evil sometimes. Oh yeah. I don't like plain coconut water, but this one is tasty.

Pregan: Sushi. I didn't want to ever eat raw fish, a friend insisted I try a bite and I gagged on it.
Vegan: Quinoa. Yeah, I hate the perfect grain. Texture issues.
And once I dipped into an old jar of Better N Peanut Butter in the fridge. Took a bite aaaand realized it was moldy. Couldn't get the horrible taste out of my mouth. It still haunts me.

bitter melon, bitter gourd. icky.
i'm not a picky eater. there are things i wouldn't want to eat again (like natto or fresh jackfruit) but nothing that has just totally made me GAG, like bitter melon.
i will echo the rotten blueberry sentiment. worst moldy tasting thing ever.

One of the first times I ate dinner with my In-laws, my husbands mother asked if I liked Sweetbreads....In my mind I am thinking cinnamon rolls, banana bread, or sweet dinner rolls....I was so wrong, and I had to eat it to be polite.
Also sea urchin sushi, which dissolves into a gelatinous disgusting mass as soon as it touches your tongue. I was never a fan of sushi to begin with but this made me vomit.

This really delicious-looking, fresh-looking, pulpy lemonade in the fridge at my parents house - it was in a nice pitcher with pictures of oranges on it - turns out it was warm chicken broth my dad had just put in the fridge - I spat it out right into the sink. I still get a little nauseous when I think about this and that was at least over 10 years ago.

Oh, I forgot about one thing that was also gross was when my husband tried to make chilaquiles with flour tortillas 'cause we were out of corn - I couldn't pretend to like it and I spit it out in front of him.

Okay, so my husband read over my shoulder about the chilaquiles - Now I have to let you all know that he always makes delicious foods and that was certainly a fluke and he is a good cook and I love him!

cooked okra, previously frozen...I don't know if I did something wrong but it was like what I imagine Slimer, from Ghostbusters, secreting.
won't ever admit this...but my hub's goulash offends my inner vegan to the core.
also...my mother's cooking. It might have degenerated over the years and tasted good at some point, but I realize now after living apart from her for years now that she manages to find the fattiest greasiest way to cook something...does it and then pairs it with a salad. I guess I should be glad she's trying to be healthy, right? (ex. pot roast....so fricken nasty...balsalmic vinegar, lipton's onion soup mix and various other stuff..., meat loaf made with tons of cheese and whatever she thinks is appetizing atm.)
