I use my rice cooker for quinoa, can you use it for lentils and wheatberries?

Geez, I'm so behind the times. I've only ever used mine for rice.

i have a cheap assed one. best $10.95 mr. j. has ever spent! for rice, you push the button (it looks like a toaster button) and it pops out when the rice is done. i refer to v'con "how to cook a grain" section when cooking quinoa or millet.

for lentils i put 1c. lentils to 4c water and push the button to cook. i set my timer for 18-20 minutes and turn it off. perfect every time.

Man, you guys are so precise! I just pour in some grain and then eye the water.

Last week I had started some rice and beans on the stove but then I had to leave the house, I dumped the whole thing in my rc (a cheap toaster button one like jewy has) and when I got home everything was perfect. i've had this rice cooker for almost 10 years. it's easily one of the most useful and dependable appliances I have.

I didn't know you could cook lentils in a rice cooker! Dang that would make life a lot easier.

i cook the beans using two cycles. i did this by accident, when i moved into my new place and now its the only way i make beans. for those interested it was because i thought the appliance was a slow cooker but it was a rice cooker.
