I asked the shop assistant in Ann Summers recently, because I too felt like I didnt work at all to keep them in. She said that they had to feel this way, because if they were smaller you couldnt use them for very long, because your muscles would get too tired. And she insisted that even though it doesnt feel like it: your muscles ARE getting a work out.

GCZ, I'd recommend the Leaf Vitality. It covers all your requirements (although I'm not 100% sure of the price in the US) and I find it really really awesome. It looks so pretty, the leaves have independent vibrations, and it's fairly intense. Not as a Hitachi wand, of course, but it's good.

Honestly, if it's your first vibe buy, I would get an inexpensive bullet and a wand (made of something body-safe that can be easily cleaned, of course.) That way, you can figure out what you really want before you spend a mint on something meh. After playing with those for awhile, you should have a good idea of what you want a toy to do and buy accordingly.

Also, wanting many nice toys is not greedy at all. Or if it is, I'm really greedy.

It's only $20 but it's GREAT. It has a knob on the bottom to adjust the intensity, and the highest setting is pretty forking high! It's also really good for both internal and external stimulation. It does look a lot like a penis (a...shiny purple penis...) so if you're not into things looking like penises, it's not for you...but if you're into that or at least don't mind, it's absolutely awesome. Also, the customer service at Safe Sex Store is absolutely stellar.
