So, I was put on medication for anxiety. It's working, which is good. I can do school work without having panic attacks. The problem is I've become apathetic about my school work, something that I don't want to happen. I think I'll go off medication at the end of the term.

Oh pants. Yesterday, I saw the person who attacked me a little over a year ago. He didn't see me. The past 24hours some of my symptoms have gotten a bit stronger. I'm jumpy as heck and worry that someone is going to attack me when I'm out, the compulsion to check things incase I've made a mistake have gotten stronger which then convinces me that people are talking about me because I've done something wrong or said something wrong.
As time goes on I'm starting to think these symptoms are a bit more than depression and anxiety.

I can't shake my anxiety when it comes to public speaking. Not cool at all.

I can't spend my money without having a panic attack. Even when it's something that I need like clothing or food.

For the 5 months that I was really unwell I didn't open any bills. My anxiety levels are still slowly crawling up. I have a week off work so hopefully the rest will do me a bit of good. If not I'm going to have to book in early to see the psychiatrist.

I think I'm experiencing something similar, except the apathy feels like something my brain is doing to avoid stress, like a mental block or wall (rather than freaking out). I've just upped my dosage (for several reasons), and I hope that will help with the apathy as well. This week has been tough. I thought I was getting better but there was a BIG INCIDENT that showed me that I was not. And yesterday I decided it was time to tell my LDR boyfriend about my anxiety problems and he didn't really understand (a big part of that was cultural/language stuff), I feel like he thinks I'm just a baby/coward, and I don't know how to explain that my fears/anxieties are more than what normal people experience. Ugh.

Hugs, hugs, hugs to all. I'm having a fairly good day, in the midst of going on 5 solid months of daily anxiety.

I had been doing really well. I've been consistently working out, and I've been more stable at work. Then my difficult students returned. I had a really bad argument last night and I don't understand what's so difficult about letting me talk about it instead of just shutting me out and slamming doors in my face when I'm trying to figure out and work through what's happening. Instead I end up crawling out of my skin for hours while he just falls asleep.

I went into the bank this morning to cash a check, and while I was waiting at the front of the line a man who had just finished his transaction walked past me, smiled at me and said "hi, you doin' all right?" - he was just being friendly, he'd been chatting with the teller, but it triggered something in me and I started feeling really unsafe. I managed to keep my cool while I was in the bank, but it took me a while once I got back to my car to collect myself enough that I could drive away. I've felt really anxious and uneasy all day since then, like something terrible is about to happen. I'm still not sure exactly what it was about the interaction that was triggering for me, but every time I think it over it leads to reliving other stuff and now I'm a total mess.

I've been feeling anxious the last few days, but I can't figure out why. Normally it's easy to figure out why I'm anxious. Maybe I'm becoming more aware?

I had horrible panic attacks last night that continued into today. Absolutely no reason why. I'm having heart palpitations, which always freak me out, and that makes my heart beat faster, which freaks me out even more.... I kept walking around with my fingers on my jugular this morning to feel my heart beating because I was so afraid it would stop. My mother kept saying, "Stop feeling your pulse; you're making it worse!" but I couldn't help it. I am still massively freaking out right now and have no idea what to do. This is one of the worst anxiety episodes I have ever had.

Thank you. I do have a relaxation cd somewhere... will have to hunt for it. I haven't been this bad in years and I am really surprised by how bad the anxiety has been today.

That really sucks. Worse part is that when it hits hard like that your head goes into such a blind panic you can't think what to do.
I need it to be my appointment already. I'm getting so paranoid again that people are talking about me and hate me. I really hate that my insecurities have snowballed to this level.

I was doing so much better, but my anxiety has been getting worse again. I think I'll be quitting medication soon.
