No, not my period (I'm a guy) I figured this could probably go in the Spa, but if it needs to be moved so be it :) It's my best friend's period birthday this month, the same day that I fly into town from across the country, and she's picking me up from the airport. I'm getting her a gift and was planning on ordering http://microcosmpublishing.com/catalog/zines/899/ for her, along with a feminist fist patch. Do these seem like appropriate/sufficient gift ideas? I don't have tons of money but if anyone else has suggestions I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

period birthday? Is that a thing people do? I don't mean that in a snarky way, I'm genuinely curious!

I think that is so totally adorable and sweet.
Though the idea of celebrating my period "birthday" is rather mystifying. But maybe that's just my socialization speaking, cause, really, the fact that I can make babies is pretty damn cool.

I don't remember the date (or year, even) of my first period, although I do remember it was a Friday afternoon in my Religious Education class. That's cute, though. As is your gift!

I think that's fun and sweet!
If you have some extra time, linzer torte/thumbprint cookies with raspberry or strawberry jam would be a funny and appropriate gift.

Will they let me bring those through airport security? I was thinking of making her a tincture or something for vaginal health but I don't think i'll be able to bring that through. I don't wanna risk having them take my gift(s)!
