Can anybody recommend a topical product for lightening dark marks caused by acne? Mine are actually from ingrown hairs but I think it amounts to the same thing.

i'm having good luck with the paula's choice retinol serum. i bought it more for active acne and other skin stuff than for older acne marks, but i've noticed a definite improvement.

I'm curious about this as well. I've got some dark scarring that's fairly new.

I recently started a new routine that has worked miracles for me. I have good skin now but with quite a few dark marks (and not the death eater kind)

Basically, at night I use Paula's Choice Weekly Resurfacing Treatment, which is just a 10% AHA solution

And during the day, under sunscreen/makeup/whatever, I've been using Reviva Labs 5% Glycolic Acid Cream.

I’ve only been doing it for just over a week, but already the marks on my cheeks have faded SO much, and I fully expect them to vanish soon. Plus, my skin is super smooth

A cautionary note, I worked up to this, the PC stuff especially is quite strong. I've had both of these products for a long time but only recently started using them both daily (I don't even know why I started doing it) and it seems the two different chemical exfoliators in combination have done the trick.

(nb: I use Rosehip oil to moisturize and I cleanse with the OCM, but I've been doing both of these things for a couple years so that's not what has made the difference.)

Might not be for everyone, just wanted to share because I am so incredibly happy with my skin right now :)
