So, wang-bearers and wang-fans...

Has anyone here had any experience of foreskin restoration? There are various "intactivist" groups who advocate stretching (like you would with ear stretchers/plugs/flesh tunnels, or lip plates, but further down) and seem to have a bit of success. Basically, keeping it under slight tension encourages new skin growth to provide better "coverage". Just to be clear, I'm not talking surgery, just a little growth encouragement.

I know that there are a few body mod enthusiasts around here, so any thoughts from anyone would be groovy.

Also: wang.

A friend of mine did it, and thought it was the greatest thing ever. It was sort of hilarious/annoying because he was so freaking enthusiastic about it and wouldn't stop talking about how much he loved his new foreskin.

He had a flap of skin taken from his leg and grafted and then a stretching apparatus was constructed. He was on a sex and stroganoff ban for a while as it healed up. I know you want to do it non-surgically, but I wanted to add that he felt like the surgery wasn't a big deal.

I really have nothing to contribute to this except I saw the topic discussed on one of those daytime talk shows in the 90s and I found it totally fascinating.

I have never met a circumcised penis in my life.

Mine was done for medical reasons. I think it was too tight. I was about 8? It was about twenty years ago, so they might not even do that any more. It wasn't an American-style* "raze it to the ground" affair, rather a bit of a trim.


* Judging from the American wangs I've seen, vs the non-American wangs I've seen.

I've read a few articles and such on dudes doing it (comes up in my gender binary research a bit). Mostly a lot of blokes who regret that their parents cut it off and trying all kinds of things to get it back.

Weights and surgery seemed to have the best result. But I don't have a circumcised wang, or any wang for that matter.

They do still do it. My nephew had to have his done a few years back. It is quite common apparently.

My circumcision was Australian-style. Which I guess means they attached a bunch of corks to my cork.

I was hoping Australian-style meant that they used the foreskin to make a little pouch for you.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the benefit of having a foreskin? All I can imagine is that you gotta check that shiitake for smegma.

The benefit is that it's naturally there to protect the head of your peen, and having it surgically removed it unnecessary.

I've had (heh) both, and it makes no difference to me as a vagina-owner. But if I were to ever have a baby that had a penis, I wouldn't circumcise for sure.

This, plus a penis with a foreskin tends to be a lot more sensitive than one without. (I get this info from someone who's had to have the foreskin removed as an adult so he can compare pre- and post-cut peen.)

That said, I don't think restoring the foreskin would do anything to restore sensitivity.

My friend who had his foreskin restored said that it restored sensitivity. He said that because his glans was no longer buffeted by the rough and tumble of trouser life, but was shielded like a delicate flower, it regained its sensitivity, which made sex better post foreskin restoration.
