Oh man, MBM--that's the worst! I sometimes have to put on Body Glide in that area. That might be a decent preventative measure if you see it anywhere.

I am so covered in bug bites and PMS-y I want to punch myself in the face. Stupid bodies. Why do we need them?! I'm also pretty sure there is a tick burrowing in my brain and I've started shuffling instead of walking because I'm so achy from yard work then office work.

I have been up all night with this awful ulcer pain. I've even take more codeine than I should have and it hasn't helped, nor has the heating pad. This is one of the worst episodes I've had.

I'm so sorry to hear that, lavawitch. Wish there was some way I could help.

I feel a little bad complaining about it now, but my eyelid is still driving me nuts. At least it doesn't hurt anymore, and to put it delicately, there's been progress with getting the gland unblocked, but not nearly enough. It's been going on for a month now! I just want it to be back to normal so I can load on way too much eyeliner and mascara.

I'm better now, just mostly asleep because I ended up taking muscle relaxers both to sleep and because my back started really hurting. Not that they help since it's bone/nerve pain, but the sleeping part was good.

I considered calling in sick to GED, but considering I just have to drive there and help one student every so often (I give him a math mini lesson, he works independently, I check his work, repeat) that seemed ludicrous. But I'm having trouble staying awake.

My body is betraying me by increasing the pressure in my eyes. My optician discovered it and has sent a referral to an eye specialist. I tend to overthink, so I'm already thinking of ways to work as a nurse if I'm not able to see patients or read journals...

They have really good medicines and treatments for glaucoma these days. (Not that I wouldn't freak out, too!)

Thank you for admitting that you would freak out too! I know it usually only means you have to take eye drops and go for regular tests (my aunt has glaucoma). As far as the optician could tell there hasn't been any damage yet, and the pressure was only just over the limit. Still really scary.

I went to the eye doctor today and my eyes were fine! Pressure was normal, nothing was damaged. Such a relief!

So, for like three months now I have this one area on the inside of my lower lip where these annoying bumps/bubbles keep popping up, hard little pinhead-sized things on the surface of my skin. They come up, I end up unconsciously (or sometimes consciously) biting at them or something and they pop and go away for a short amount of time, but end up coming back. I had a doctors appt yesterday to get an STI panel, and mentioned this thing with my lip, however at the time there happened to not currently be one there to show her. Today, I wake up with one. Gah! Jeez body.

I get those sometimes, Mars. I think they're just mucoceles? But they're so annoying when you bite them!

Oh man! I used to get those on the inside of my left cheek so often! Never knew what it was.

I have one on my lower lip! And I kid you not, it gets bigger when I am stressed or anxious. What are those?! I only have one but it's been up and down for about two years. It doesn't hurt or anything, it's just...there.

ETA: I have diagnosed myself with an innocent lesion. I'm sticking to that!

I don't recommend watching videos on YouTube of removal surgeries for mucoceles.

Yeah, she mentioned that, and googling it seems to confirm. Mostly it's been the little ones, but I've had the big one once too. Luckily they all just sort of form, and then dissipate with varying (but not too long) time, so surgery wouldn't be necessary.

I have a sleep disorder of some sort. I know I have anxiety based insomnia. But I also get auditory hallucinations. Usually when I am dozing off. Sometimes it will sound like some one walking in the yard, or someone knocking at the window. Last night I swore it was someone knocking on my door. Woke me up out of a deep sleep and kept me up.

I don't think I have slept more than 3 hours a night for over a week.

Kfad, that sounds terrible. I hope you get some rest soon.

I have a random rash on both of my forearms. Probably contact dermatitis, but I have no idea what could have cause it.

Vaginal bleeding of varying intensity for a month. I joked to my guy that I missed the memo and periods are apparently once a week for a month.
ugh.

I know I probably come across as all athletic and stuff, and it's true that I train and race a lot. The thing is, my body kind of sucks. I have a 2-cylinder engine. I am uncoordinated, which makes me very nervous about descents that everyone else can do no problem. I'm getting better at things, but I've got some huge physical limitors that make it really hard to be stoked sometimes. I sure wish my body would adapt to training stress in an order anywhere near what 85% of other bike racers' bodies do.

If you are able to do things you both want and need and enjoy doing, all with hopefully minimal or no pain, your body probably doesn't "suck."

I started a new treatment for rheumatoid arthritis about a month and a half ago. At first, it was working great, and I was really hopeful that I'd be able to go back to something close to "normal". Now I'm not too sure that's possible-- it doesn't seem to be working as well. I have to try to remember that I have a great doctor who will work something out for me eventually, but I'm getting tired of the ups and downs that I've gone through the past 18 months trying to get this figured out. I was even secretly hoping that I could someday run again but I guess I'll keep looking for something I enjoy even half as much.

Dude! Everyone has their challenges! When I was a dancer, I had a ridiculously hard time building core strength and everyone else seemed to have no problem. It was frustrating, but we can't fight the inevitable challenges that our bodies will give us. I know you know this, but I need to remind myself of it sometimes too.

I see where you're coming from, and I'm sorry my post was insensitive. That said, imagine studying 15 hours a week for a class and still getting D minuses two years in. Even if you were a perfectly smart person with a normal, functioning brain, even if the class was really difficult, I imagine you'd be frustrated. That's how it feels to me with my training, so I'm venting.

I keep getting these weird vision disturbances. Usually just in one eye, my vision starts to go all wavy and weird until I can't see from that eye. Like a mixture of when you stare into a light too long and if you're underwater looking up out of the water. Its really freaky and very inconvenient as I can't do anything, read etc when it happens.

My dads a vision science researcher and says it doesn't sound like an actual optical problem, and that I should go to the doctor but man, I hate doctors. They assume because I'm young and not ill looking, I must be healthy.

My hair is falling out. Why is my hair falling out? It's been going on for a few weeks now. I have super, super thick hair so it wasn't noticeable at first, but now if I put my hair up, you can see that I'm developing thin patches.

It's really strange. My diet hasn't changed, I haven't lost or gained weight, I haven't been ill in any other way, I feel fine, I haven't been unusually fatigued, etc, etc, but my hair is coming out like by the handful. At first I was like "no big" but I'm getting to the point where I'm pretty sure this is a make-a-doctor's-appointment sort of thing.

Have you had your thyroid and iron levels checked, c&s? That would be my first guesses, but yeah, go to a dr! Maybe stress? Also I think testosterone levels may have something to do with hair loss.
