oh, is there space for me too in this whine cellar? i've been fighting the cold and thought i won but apparently it is winning today.
i am making ginger candy though so maybe the cold is about to go down. who wants some ginger candy?

My cold is so bad I'm going home early.
Unfortunately my internet connection at home is forked.
So it'll be lots of vitamin C and Buzzcocks.
And then.. something like 12 hours of sleep. Mmmmmm sleep.

getting there! i woke up w/ stabby throat pain even though the humidifier was cranked up, and now i feel kinda sweaty and woozy. but if my tummy is okay and my nose isn't running and my face doesn't hurt, i will deal.

Yay coughing fits! Not.

I have period pain and a sore throat. The cold medicine has kicked in and is working well! And I don't really get bad period pain. Just annoying!

Very sore throat for 2 days, now my nose is non-stop running. The right side of my nose is completely red & raw. And I am coughing already.
I also had severe heartburn today. Like, it was so hard to breath and my arms were going numb from the pain. I drank too much orange juice (I have bad acid reflux sometimes.)

So, the CVS brand of Sudafed says it has magnesium stearate. Isn't that from animals? Ugh, all I want is to feel better.

i'm still sick, but getting better i think. soup is in order today.

(though i had some really good congestion meds yesterday, i cruised around the city happily for about half an hour before realizing i had no destination other than happyville. don't plan on taking those meds again....)

i was mostly all better but the fever is back and i feel blechy.

I've had strep. I've been on antibiotics for two days. My throat doesn't hurt nearly as bad as it did, and I don't really have a fever. My doctor told me I could return to work today so I went into work this morning. I was rudely greeted by a horde of bisque-y, indirect, "Lordy, if she gets me sick I don't even know what I'll do" comments. I explained and explained that I had been on the meds and was not running a fever and had a doctor's release allowing me to work today. They guilted* me into leaving early.
I can understand that they don't want to catch strep. It's miserable and I would feel awful if I exposed anybody to it. BUTTTTT if I didn't feel like I should have been there, I would NOT have gone in today. I wasn't intentionally trying to infect the staff. I'm not trying to be a biothreat. Ugh, it all really just pissed me off.
The ones complaining about me coming in today are the same ones that complained when I stayed home with the flu last month.
My whiny rant is over.

what is up with this season? i've never been sick so many times! finally over the flu and back to good eating/exercising habits for a week and a half and then BLAM, get a wicked stomach virus from watching my nephew. the wee one and i have been barfing since yesterday and have adopted the ginger ale and saltines diet. no puking since sun up, but nausea prevails. problems out the other end are just the worst thing ever.

would you believe that, in just the last 24 hours, i've lost a pound?! dehydration and fever induced delirium, anyone? oy.

I am feeling better as my sinus infection is clearing out. The antibiotics for it though are annoying me and I can't wait to get off of them. They say 'drink plenty of water', which I do! I didn't know that if I didn't drink every couple hours (including middle of night), that I'd be dying of thirst. Not only that, but it has screwed up with my stomach and I started taking a probiotic pill besides eating the yogurt I've been eating.

I've relapsed! I was sick with some kind of flu two weeks ago, and now I'm sick with some kind of cold. It's total balls. I'm really sick of being sick and spending all my money on zinc lozenges and echinacea-laced orange juice.

I hate being sick. I never get sick, so I don't know what to do with myself.

On the bright side, at least I'm not coughing ever 5 min, like I was yesterday. Instead, I'm blowing my nose.

I've been sick for about 5 days now. Constant headache and neck aches, no appetite, and lethargy. I thought it was just tension but the kids had similar symptoms and now the husband is feeling that way. When I wake up, I can't wait to get back to bed.

So I went in to the clinic today and all they could do was lecture me on how I should have gotten a flu shot. Well, it's too late now, isn't it?

forkers. i've never gotten the flu before!

still feel yucky. the plus side is that i haven't been able to lose weight well in years and suddenly it just keeps melting off. but i'd like to resume feeling not like shiitake now.

Why is it that I only want to eat junk food when I get sick?

I did it - it's a real flu.
Got a stack of meds and need to stay home for at least this week.
Maybe I'll read some of my unread books... :)

I was so sick this morning! But I had a raw onion smoothie and now I feel like running a marathon.

i've been sick for a few days now. blecchh. my least favorite part is that i'm freezing cold yet sweating profusely. so gross!! I hope I get better soon because I have a ton of homework to do.

I don't know what the hell is going on at this point. Time for doctor visit #2 I think.

I went from nose running every day, to doctor + medication, to nose running like a faucet along with nausea, trouble sleeping and loss of appetite, to stopping OTC medication to reduce some issues, to massive sinus pressure/pain to adding back OTC medication to sinuses feeling clear but ears feel pressure and feeling a bit 'off'. I have one more day of antibiotics which I think are causing most of my non-sinus issues. Not sure why my sinuses are mostly clear yet my ears feel pressure.

I have had the worst headaches, muscle pains and fever for the last four days. Today my muscle pains are gone and the headaches and fever aren't so bad, but I'm still way too tired to do anything - I've been sitting at the computer for an hour and now I think I need a nap, I'm so exhausted.

I need to get better soon; I can't get out of work tomorrow (an 11-hour shift...!) and I have a dragon-boating regatta on Sunday. Sigh.

I didn't barf for like 15 years and now I've had the barfsies twice since November! And I'm 20 weeks pregnant, and a fetus kicking you in the stomach while you're nauseated is not funtimes. And I have a low-grade fever and my joints are achy.
On the flipside, I think my 2-year-old already had this earlier this week, so that's good news.
