I have a cold. I started with stuffy face yesterday. As the day has gone on, I've slowly lost my ability to breathe. I 'm also getting a headache. And I biked to work today, which means that I need to bike back ... and there's 21 mph winds and it's really freaking cold. I might collapse and die on the way. I could leave my bike here and take the metro, but leaving it at the office worries me. :-/

Just come back from the doctor about a stomach problem that I had convinced myself was IBS or bowel cancel. He told me it wasn't and that I probably am just not getting enough insoluble fibre. Being a stomach problem, I mentioned that I was vegan and he checked whether or not I was getting a b12 supplement then moved on.

Good news: my doctor is indifferent to veganism, as in, thinks it's normal. And I don't have cancer. Also, he recommended I drink more beer. Proper beer, not lager. (His words).

Bad news: I am probably the only vegan in the country who's not getting enough fibre.

I thought vegans were meant to poo all the time, but not me!

I have been sick since last week. I feel a lot better but can't shake the coughing at night! Lots of ginger tea for me lately...

I got the stomach flu on Sunday, which sucked (obviously). Then my kids got it--luckily once I was over my bout with the bug. My daughter puked all over herself in bed. THAT was fun. Sick = blech.

I've gotten worse! I was so foggy today my coworkers thought I'd lost it! And I'm stuffier and sneezing colorful things and coughing.

I have a wheezy chest, a nasty taste in my mouth and diarrhea. I think I've caught a bug that's been going round my roller derby team.

Yes! I am not normally sickly, but after getting to Vienna I got bronchitis. I went to the Dr. and got meds, but it never fully went away. I had a bit of wheezing and coughing on my tour and now that I'm back in Vienna, it's gotten worse. I have to go to the Dr. again today and hope I actually wheeze when I get there, so he takes it seriously.

oh no i am sick sick siiiiiiiick today. my nose is alternately runny and stuffy and my body is so tired that i don't want to get out of bed. this guy i've been dating had a bad cold last week and i played the part of nice girlfriend by making him soup and hot toddies. clearly he repaid me by sharing his disease.

the worst part is that, earlier this week, i FINALLY scored a ticket to jens lekman's show tonight after i had been praying for one forever. i'm still going, gosh darn it, even if i have to dayquil the crepe out of myself.

under my eyes is a greenish,yellow colour, then purple. I don't know why but i feel shitty and look dead.

My throat is really sore. No white spots at least! (knock on wood)

i have enough for the both of us....

Cough, stuffy face, endlessly runny nose, sore throat - fun! Last night I coughed so much I almost puked.

Nooooooooooo I think I have the flu :( :( I haven't been sick since I was omni (so over 3 years). I had an amazing track record!! And I used to use it as (entirely anecdotal) evidence about the awesomeness of going veg! I feel like I've been hit by a truck and I have an exam on Wednesday and an assignment due Friday :(

I have a fever (100.2) and a sore throat. annndd I'm feeling very very sorry for myself, I'm sitting at my kitchen table with my face pressed against the cool wood and listening to neil diamond singing love songs and feeling grumpy.

First my dad was sick, then my mom, then my husband. Now it's my turn. :(

I can't breathe out of my nose, but it keeps running! And my nose is all raw and my face is hot and wah wah :(


I don't take OTC meds, so I'm ~suffering in silence~.

I too keep shoving cold things against my face. Drinks, cell phone - everything.

appifanie, My cell phone is always hot. I know this because it LOOKS like it would be cold and I kept trying to use it to cool myself down.

Mine actually was yesterday - hurray! Oddly, TOO cold is bad.

My left temple is throbbing away but other than that I'm down to a hacking cough and my nose isn't running constantly, just sometimes.

eta: I've stuck cold Livi feet on my forehead before.

I have the stuffiest nose of my life right now and no amount of nasal decongestants and lemon teas are working. :< what do I doooo?

I've had this stupid cold for 2 weeks now and it's really start to peas me off!! My nose is red raw and so freaking sore from blowing it every 5 minutes.

I hope it's gone by next week. :(

<3 to all of you. appifanie and boober, i've been using my metal water bottle filled with ice water and the window conveniently right behind my couch. so cold.

i woke up this morning achy and couldn't swallow, or breathe, or hear properly. inspection with a reading lamp shows no throat spots, thank gaaaad.
but it's -15 outside, my car is broken, and i've no transit tokens or money to get sick supplies! wah wah. i do have 7 chapters of reading to do. hm.

eta: praise the Lard, i found $20! now... how to get garlic&greens, to me?

I'm getting a cold. I am going to bombard my system with vitamin c, zinc, echinecea, and not chicken soup, but I don't think I can stave it off. Everyone in my office has had it, and now it appears I'm the final victim. BAH!

Ugh. I'm sick. Again. So very very sick. I know it's purely because of all the stress that's been going on (exams, death in the family, other family drama), but that doesn't make me feel any better! In fact, it may just make me feel worse.

I wish I could send you not chicken soup, dubs. Finals are miserable, and the loss of a loved one makes everything miserable x infinity. I hope you feel (physically, at least) better soon.
