I usually take acetaminophen for my period but I can't find a vegan version here in the US (I'm on an extended trip here). Ibuprofen doesn't agree with me.

Are there any vegan versions of acetaminophen? I called and was told the Target brand isn't vegan, even the liquid. The company who makes it for Target actually said the vast majority of the glycerin and and magnesium stearate they use is animal derived. I know there is the issue of animal testing but I'm specifically asking about painkillers that don't contain any animal derived ingredients.

Cheers!

I never realized acetaminophen could BE non-vegan. *heavy sigh*

No advice here, but thanks for pointing this out.

I was Googling this again today and found this option so I thought I'd update my post. It's a certified Kosher acetaminophen product. Under "Supplement Facts" says no animal derived ingredients. I'm sure there are other acetaminophen products that are also fine, especially some of the liquid options but man is getting straight answers difficult, and I liked that this one clearly says no animal products. I should've known to Google for Kosher and start from there.

Johnson & Johnson just got back to me as well and said TYLENOL® Cold + Sore Throat Cool Burst Daytime Liquid has no animal derived ingredients. I'd seen this on a list of kosher suitable products so that's why I checked this specific one.
