Anyone else ever have this? I'm one of the lucky 3% who experience a recurrence (this is my third bout-- the first two lasted around 2.5 months). The itching is pretty persistent, and it becomes unbearable when I exercise, as well as every night around 2 AM. I've been taking oatmeal baths and slathering myself in calamine lotion. Any other suggestions for relieving the itch? My stomach, breasts, and neck are covered with spots, and they're starting to spread downward and onto my back!

Major bump! I am currently dealing with it. . . I am mostly relieved not to have bed bugs, as I thought at first (the herald patch on my chest, and the markings looking slightly different than bed bug bites, proved this). Itching hasn't been a major issue in my case, coconut oil is soothing and may help with the itching. How long does yours typically last? This is my first bout ever, and I'm about a week into it.

Ugh I used to get this on my buttocks. It was so awful. I also used calamine, which helped a little. Have you tried taking Benadryl? I never did myself but it seems like it would help since I think the itchiness is an immune response.

I get this every year in the spring and it goes away toward the end of summer. I don't get the itch thankfully but a nice herald patch on my belly and a bunch of spots right under my breasts. Coconut oil works well to lighten the spots and may help with itching too. I've just started trying tea tree oil just to see what happens. I've heard that dandruff shampoo can help too but I've never tried it.

Coconut oil and Benadryl have been helping a lot. My torso and arms are currently generously dusted in spots, so. . . there goes any chance of going to the beach/ wearing a swimsuit/ etc. for the foreseeable future. Which was unlikely to happen anyway, but still. . . forking self-consciousness.

I'm still rashy, but it's less intense than it was one-two weeks ago. I've also stopped using my loofah when I shower, because I think that was aggravating the rash.

One of my friend had the same issue and amazingly one small trick did wonders for her. All she did was washing her body for 5 days with anti dandruff shampoo. Also, bio oil can help to get rid of the red marks quickly.
