Virginia Messina wrote a blog post on disease shaming among people eating vegan diets.

I think this message is long overdue.

I too have seen those kind of Facebook comments. I’m amazed at the disconnect in that it does NOT occur to those people how hurtful they are being. Nobody would dare tell someone in person “You know, your loved one probably wouldn’t be dying if they ate the orhorexic diet 2.0″. Aside from being wrong about the facts, as Messina pointed out, it is a callous and hurtful thing to do.
