After I started working out every day about 15 months ago, my insulin requirements went way down. Had to do some major adjustments. Then things got back to normal—my insulin reqs crept back up. Now they're ratcheting down again. Lots of lows.

Never a dull moment.

It was a blast.

Pre-bed last night: 45.

This morning: 321.

Life is a party!

Then again, I've only been doing this since 1992. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon.

Does anyone have a good diabetic-friendly waffle recipe I can have? I'm looking for something with 25 g of carbs per serving and am finding it difficult to find any recipe online that is already vegan and is not gluten free and under the carb limit my friend is looking for. Thanks y'all.

Low blood sugar episodes aren't that uncommon. This one was surprisingly low, though.

I thought that was really high until I remembered that the UK still uses mmol/L not mg/dl. I converted it to mmol/L and that is gobsmackingly low (my lowest ever has been 1.8 mmol/L (33 mg/dl) and it feels like shiitake to be that low)

I hope you are OK and feeling better now

This is a bit late, but I have a low-carb waffle recipe on my blog. It's mostly wheat gluten and soy flour, so not your average waffle, but they come out surprisingly good. It's in Dutch, but I'll translate it for you if you're interested. http://vegetus.nl/low-carb-wafels/

Google Chrome will auto-translate if you want a rough idea, panda.

Hi, how 'bout you try this recipe my friend, Jackie, gave me. It's not her original recipe but when we tried it.. they were good waffles.
Ingredients:
3 cups flour
2 Tbs baking powder
1-2 Tbs sugar (optional)
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cups milk
1/3 cup orange juice
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
cooking spray or cooking oil

we used almond milk as substitute for the milk, and stevia as substitue for sugar since it's a good artificial sweetner as it says on this article for alternative for diabetics http://tgp.com.ph/blog/medicine-for-dia ... sweetness/ Combine and mix all ingredients together. It should be smooth. Make sure your waffle iron is pre-heated and greased with the cooking spray.
