The Njoy wand is great, but it takes a while to figure out how to use it properly. If you have that and the Hitachi, you really don't need anything else. It's still fun to covet stuff, though.

I've never had any sex toys, but I think it's time to fill this lacunae.
Since I have no experience and I'm generally quite happy with my own hands, what would you recommend I start with?

Again it would depend on what kind of stimulation you enjoy. Start off with something basic and possibly lower price bracket. Higher end stuff tends to serve very specific uses and carry warranties etc etc. Which is great it's what your after.

If g-spotting intrigues you maybe start by looking at spot toys. I would recomend going to your local sex shop to discuss products with the staff. Especially if you have a feminist sex shop like babeland, venus envy etc. Where the staff really knows there product and can help walk you through what toys work for what kind of stimulation.

Browsing and looking at floor models to feel the different settings and vibrations and also to see which toys appeal to you. Store staff can also walk you through basic care, use, cleaning, storage etc for your toys. Interacting with the materials gives you the bet idea of how these toys will work and feel for you.

If you are after a higher end toy or wind up looking at some classic names check out various reviews on babeland, venus envy, youtube and other review sites to see common problems, feedbacks, criticisms and experiences.

To add on to what B_A_D said, if you don't have a good local toy store then email the folks at Babeland. They were extremely helpful and friendly when I was getting advice on add-ons for the Hitachi and such (there are absolutely no sex-positive/non-creepy toy stores near me).

I'm adding something new to my covet list. A recent blog gave a really positive review to the Sinclair Institute Onyx Glass Wand. Checking out other reviews here and there it appears to be getting some positive buzz and it is only like 30$. Now I just have to find a reputable place online selling them. Babeland unfortunately doesn't carry it.

I wish I had known about the sex toy recycling when I ditched all my old things. For some reason after I had my daughter I felt like I needed to purge everything. I'm sad about throwing out my double ended - that was super fun with company.
I used to have a rabbit but I broke it within a couple of weeks. I liked it when it worked though. It was like the third toy I broke that year

One thing about SaSi - if you press any at all, it stops moving. So unless you like really, really light touches, it may not be worth the investment for you. Just a thought!
