I'm too accident prone to be left unsupervised in the kitchen, I swear.
Just splashed fry-hot canola oil on my foot. What do I do?

If it's a small burn, splashing cool water on it should help. Take some ibuprofen. If you're blistering or your skin is peeling, you should seek medical help.

My mom always put cold water then mustard on mild burns. It helped, I swear.

No blistering or peeling... Still hurts, though.
I might try the mustard thing... I think ACV is also a miracle worker for burns... I KNOW it is for sunburns

It's probably way to late, but the best thing to do right when you get burned is put something cold on it fast. Apparently, your skin continues to burn even if you wipe off whatever was on it. So you have to cool it off immediately. That's why people run to the cold water right away. But it has to be to stop the burning. It doesn't help once it's already burned other than to make it distract you from the pain.
I hope it heals quickly. I hate burns!

Why would I leave the kitchen? I was making jerk fried seitan! (HAHA! This was seriously my thought process at the time... I think I have priority issues...) So I just found this website and now I believe there isn't anything ACV won't cure. Apple Cider Vinegar for HealthSo I got my Bragg's (no skimping wen it comes to burns, right?) and a cotton ball. Put some on the burn and it immediately stopped stinging! I mean... Now it's stinging a little bit but not as bad as it was. Thanks everyone! I was just panicking and couldn't think at first and I happened to have my laptop up to PPK.

assuming you don't need medical attention, either lavender oil or a leaf off an aloe plant, sliced in half, is good for burns.

Found out another tip when my daughter burnt herself a few months ago and needed medical treatment (she's fine now.).
After cold water for 1/2 hour or so, you can cover the area with cling film if it is painful. It stops air getting to the burn and so reduces pain dramatically. The emergency clinic used it, as did the burn clinic between removing dressings and replacing them.
This might help if anyone needs to travel for medical assistance.
