Holy hell is it bad!

I took a few backwards falls last year. The bruising all cleared up but the pain has come back now. I can't sit for too long otherwise it starts to hurt and makes me wince when I move or stand up. My coccyx also click after a while. I just bought a coccyx cushion for it and need to have physio.

ZOMG I used to regularly land on my coccyx when i was a kid and just thinking about that pain makes me wince (and usually i can't remember pain). always from rollerskating, too, although i did land on it once when i fell from a horse as a teen and that was baaaaaaaad.
I seem to remember someone on here broke their coccyx during labor, they would be good to talk to! no ideas, just sympathy.

Yowch! From labor? As if the pain wasn't already bad enough. All my falls have been from rollerskating.

Do you ever get post-traumatic pain in that area or are you ok now?

AH! I feel your pain! I fell so hard on my butt skiing when I was about 14, never went to the doctor, but for 4 years after that I had pain when going into the sitting position, and when standing back up. Also uncomfortable to sit for long periods of time but that cleared up within a year. Hurting my coccyx lead me to developing inflammation (or maybe scar tissue) around my sciatic nerves in both legs which have hurt ever since, off and on. Slowly getting better! It's been 10 years. Stupid tailbone.

never had a twinge. never even considered the possibility, but now that you say that i'm scared!!! i have enough old lady pains, thank goodness the coccyx isn't joining in the fun.
