I wouldn't be. I'm alright with my body, and I think I could handle being topless, but I'm the girl who keeps her shorts on at the beach. I don't know what it is.

I don't have a problem being nude when I have my bush, but if I'm hairless, I feel uncomfortable. I don't like strangers seeing my labia.

i went to the nudie baths once! it was fun except the group of friends i went with had just gotten back from a trip to turkey and turkish baths are nakey. so we're in jordan and they're like rocklobster, you have to get nakey too. im all ok you seasoned world travelers, and get nakey. so were all nakey. in JORDAN!! the ladies who worked there came in and looked terrified and then looked at us like the dumb american hos we are. lesson learned: arab countries dont want you naked.
but seriously, get naked. youll feel more exposed in a bathing suit!

I used to visit Ashland Or once a year and would always camp at a place that had a clothing optional pool, loved to swim naked, doesn't bother me. I also use to streak randomly in high school, just for the shock value. Strangely though I have a hard time peeing in public restrooms when other guys are standing next to me at the wall urinals.

I would be totally fine with it. I wish I'd gone to an onsen last time I was in Japan, but I never got around to it. But when I was in Germany as an exchange student, everyone in the change rooms and showers at the local pool was naked all the time. Being naked in front of strangers isn't a big deal when they're all old and droopy and clearly not judging anyone.

I just moved house and now there's a naked swimming hole a few minutes away, I'm pretty keen to check it out. But I think I'll wait until I have a day of leave from work to go, I'm not that keen on the idea of going on the weekend and seeing people I work with or something.

I would have no problem with it. I'm not European nor have I ever been to Europe except as a waypoint on a far less enjoyable trip but I have no shame and don't care who sees me naked.

I think I'd be more comfortable if I went alone. Strangers seeing me naked doesn't freak me out as much as friends seeing me naked. You can't unsee a naked friend. Strangers just kind of blend into the background.

In reality: no. I mean, I don't even feel comfortable enough with myself to wear sleeveless shirts. On the other hand, I like being naked when I am alone, and I think I look better naked than I do clothed (this is probably because you can actually see my tattoos when I am naked, whereas clothed you can only see part of one.)
I would love to feel confident in the way I look, but I do not.

For something like this, I would want to take a friend. But I don't want my friends to see me naked so there is my dilemma.

If you feel ok going by yourself, then go. Just make sure you sit on a towel! (Sorry I'm in nursing school, I can't help but think about stuff like that)

Is it just me or are the older women the most comfortable with being naked? At my gym, the older women will walk around completely naked while the younger women are facing the corner trying to dress as fast as possible (me included).

In Sweden it is normal at gym and bathhouses to have communal showers/locker rooms and no shower curtain so most of us has been doing that since early years in school. But my wife has told me that most women in the gym these days don't shower, they do it at home. I think it is weird that women has so much issues with nakedness, since in the men's locker room it is very strange if you don't shower )sauna is optional but only wimps skip that).

I went to the nekked spa with my mom once. If I can do that, you can do it alone!

I highly, highly suggest the Korean spa (olympus) in Lynnwood! Clothing is not even an option, but I've never once felt uncomfortable there (at least not after a couple minutes into my initial visit) and it's my favorite place in the world! soooooo relaxing! You'll probably forget the nakedness after a minute.

This is true in my experience. I've noticed at the gym that there are way more women my age (46) or older using the steam, sauna and hot tub than women who are in their 20s.

I've never had a major issue with being naked in front of people but I'm definitely less self conscious about it now.

At my gym the tiny towels are free and the big ones you pay a monthly fee for. I don't want to pay the fee so I have to walk, totally naked, from my locker to the spa area. I have to cross the locker room entrance on my way so there is a stream of women wearing their down parkas and boots and I walk amongst them in the nude. I laugh (and shiver) at the cotnrast.

Do it! I've been naked in front of other people a lot oddly enough, and it's only weird if it's sexualized. If it's hot springs, baths, swimming or sunbathing it's completely normal. And actually kind of liberating. I went to this Nudist place in Topanga, California called Elysium Fields one time where they even had nude tennis. That, I don't think I'd be into (ow) but the funniest thing was the flyer they had for juggling. It said something like, "hang loose with all your balls in the air." I wish I still had that flyer. good times.

I would have no trouble. I hate clothing in general, and was once complimented "you'd do great in juvenile hall", because it doesn't bother me in the least.

I used to go to the sauna at my gym in Germany where clothes were forbidden (just a towel). Communal showers, also. I lost my inhibitions on about the second time I went there; there is just no point.

Back in England, the sauna was by the swimming pool, and trunks were mandatory. It stank of chlorine and was noisy. Utter fail.

Just be naked, or sit with your towel round you. It's not like everyone will be ogling your giblets; there's an etiquette to it.

I've gone to a German sauna place, mixed sex. No one cares about your body, there are all different shapes and ages.
I'm quite comfortable with nudity, so maybe not the best person to ask. I say go for it!

Yeah this is definitely true! My French friend was saying that, in France, even in a deodorant or shower gel ad during prime time it is perfectly common and normal to see a woman's breasts because it's not sexualised, it's just a body part and they show what you do with the product, they don't even give it a second thought. I think it's a healthier mentality to have, frankly. I want to teach my kids to love and respect their bodies and that they should have no fear of their body or what other people might think of their body, it's their's to be proud of.
