Recently, I've been toying with the idea of trying some infusions in my neti pot to address some sinus inflammation. So, I thought I'd toss this out there:
What do you guys use in your neti pot- besides the salt and water-?

I'll have to see if I can get that in the small Midwestern town I live in!

I get the little packets that came with the bottle I use (I've broken four ceramic pots, and the plastic pot was yucky) I use the Neti-Med stuff. I used to just used non-iodized salt, which I've been told is important. My Mom used table salt once and it seemed to make things worse. Also using distilled water is the only way to go. Regular water burns.

I've just used warm tap water and sea salt.

I've always used warm water and the neti pot salt as well. I was just kicking around the idea of something herbal to 'kick it up a notch' if you will. Thanks for all the responses!

I don't measure, I shake in some salt and then add the warm water. If I had to guess maybe a 1/4 teaspoon of salt? I really don't know though.

My boyfriend tends to get conjunctivitis and sinus issues when he get a cold and he swears that if he puts a couple drops of tea tree oil in his neti it keep the virus from spreading.

This may actually be better than the original quote.
