It looks much more intense in person, but in the middle of the day today I looked down and saw this weird dark mark on my hand. it kind of looks like a burn, but I haven't burned myself. it doesn't hurt, its kind of numb.

what did I dooo??
Also, it's been there for like 7 hours, its not just a red mark from knocking my hand in to something, it's actually kind of purple.

guys! help me out, my hypochondria-sensitive psyche is telling me I somehow got frostbite on only one knuckle.

no! It doesn't hurt at all, and it'd got a kind of non-bruise more of a burn color. I wish could find my camera so i could show you guys the legit color.

What have you done the past 48 hours with that hand? Heavy cooking or cleaning? Lifting? Wearing long sleeves that could have chafed it? Have you gotten drunk? Because that explains about 90% of the mysterious markings on MY body.

I got a bruise that kinda looked like a burn before... At least I think it was a bruise. It was also numb-ish, but I could still feel at the same time, too, and it didn't hurt. I just massaged and rubbed arnica on it and it went away within a day or two.

Hope yours is just a bruise, too, and that it goes away quickly!

I think the dark mark will be okay... I'd be more concerned about your cuticles! They look far more ouchy.

I get random dark marks/non-hurty-bruises sometimes. I generally attribute them to the fact that either I'm drunk or I just run into so many walls and such even when sober that there is no way I could keep track of all potential bruises.

I haven't been drunk or doing heavy cooking, but I am a klutz so I assume i just did this somehow.

They are indeed owchie. However, they are a regular winter occurrence and I have learned to live with them.

Yeah, just wait it out. If it doesn't start looking better in a few days maybe then you can get it checked out.
