This is a thing! You record how much you walk/run/hike/bike/swim and compare it to the journeys in Lard Of The Rings!

http://home.insightbb.com/~eowynchallen ... /walk.html

In the Fellowship of the Ring, by J.R.R. Tolkien, Frodo, Sam, and their companions travel from Bag End in Hobbiton to Rivendell. Our goal is to re-create their walk in our neighborhoods, parks, gyms, homes, and minds.

Walk, run, hike, bike, blade, swim - if you can measure the distance, you can do this challenge. Keep a log, and record your daily or weekly miles and the type of exercise. For walkers and hikers, you might want to invest in a walking meter, they look like wristwatches. Otherwise, you can estimate your distance at 1 mile for every 20 minutes of brisk walking on a flat surface.

I just about nerdgasmed when I heard about this earlier. And its kinda sad that it takes a Tolkien reference to get me interested in exercising.

I was really surprised the first time I saw a penis. After those banana tutorials, I was expecting something so different. -Tofulish

This... this may be the BEST fitness endeavour I have EVER seen. HOMGSQUEE.
And it's something I almost feel like I could pull off. Hey, I can walk! I wanna be an adventurin' hobbit when I grow up!
