I'm finally in the 140's, which is a weight I haven't seen since my senior year of high school. I think I look smaller and more fit than I did at that size before because of all the muscle I've gained.

The bad news is that none of my summery clothes fit. All the cute dresses I made last year are comically baggy on me. I can't even wear them with a belt.

I want to eat chocolate all the time!! I try to stick to my three meals a day but it's very difficult so far. Maybe I just need to really get used to ? I hope..

Dude, I've eaten chocolate every day of my adult life, I could never give that up. Is there a reason you can't snack? My days go a lot better if I have three meals plus some sort of chocolate luna bar or chocolate covered almonds or something. My meals aren't huge on the calories, so it all fits in my calorie allotment for the day.

I need some structure in my eating so set meals help. And with my calorie limit being 1200-1500 now I prefer eating three "proper" meals. I guess I just need to start having chocolate WITH my meals, put some dark choc chips in my oatmeal, etc.

Can you just measure out your snacks so they are still structured but don't leave you waiting until meal time if you are peckish? 6 almonds and 6 chocolate chips could make a big difference in how you feel between meals.

Had one of those eat everything, never feel full days. And now I am laying in the dark in bed having my first hypoglycemic episode since last summer and feeling like I'm going to die.

That sucks Ariann. Not that it's the same, but my period has made me very hungry all this week and I've been eating like crazy. I hope you're feeling more together soon.

The eating was definitely period related. I slept 12 hours and feel human again.

Got some routine bloodwork done and my cholesterol is down something like 50 points since last summer, from slightly high to basically perfect. That's what losing 30 pounds can do I guess.

7 years ago when I went full vegan I easily and without effort lost weight...but then two years into veganism I discovered vegan baking and then vegan processed foods and then normal groceries that were magically vegan and before I knew it my days of living and thriving on whole unprocessed natural foods were replaced by sugan binges of capn' crunch peanut butter cereal drowning in almond milk . I repacked on 50 pounds in 5 years.
THis January I got off the merry go round and began eating only recognizable real foods. Greens, veggies, no breads, no cakes, no crepe. Viola! I have lost 35 pounds and I will continue to lose!
Veganism can be dangerous just like carnivores, only atleast we are morally righteous ( food wise) we can still be abhorrant jerks in other ways too, but I try not to be.

Hmm, I don't think that's what she was saying.

Wasn't the "dangerous" part referring to eating junk food? Sorry if I got it wrong.

I have found the time after Christmas until now very hard. I gave myself free reign over December and it was very hard to get back into the swing of things, and I put a few pounds back on. I would like to lose another 14lb, which would put me at a nice comfortable weight and maybe allow me to fit back into some of my 30 inch waist jeans.

I think the ending of that post was tangential to the question of healthy eating and a more general statement about being vegan. Slightly confusing sentence structure.

Dropscone, no better time to get back on track!

I bought an Aria scale which I love. When I weighed myself this morning I was peeved to see my weight was the same, but it turned out I had a huge drop in body fat % and gained lean muscle mass. Yay!

My marathon training is getting pretty intense so I changed my weight loss goal to half a pound a week. I need more fuel!

Thanks! I didn't manage to eat all the extra calories I earned today, but I'm just glad to have the option now. I'm going to start trying to bulk up my breakfast and morning snack with some healthy calories.

I feel really good, and have switched my focus over to fueling, training, and achieving fitness goals, instead of losing weight. I have confidence that if I just keep doing what I'm doing by eating a moderate deficit I will lose the last few pounds.

Ok back on this bandwagon. I've said this before but now it is really time for me to pay more attention to servings and such, and I have to get back working out. The last few months I have just been eating and drinking all the things and now I need to cut it back. I'm feeling gross and definitely am looking different.
