Started my period yesterday and my diva cup is no where to be found! Sometime in the last 23 days it got up and walked out of the drawer in my bathroom. Annoyed at having to buy tampons for the first time in forever.

Hm . . . it'll soon be a month that I've been on my period . . . non-stop. Yes I'm on BCP and no I'm not pregnant.

I need someone to force me to go to my gyno at gunpoint because I am eventually going to just pass out and die.

WIN!

Mine is finally here after like 3 weeks solid of PMS. I miss the days when I got PMS symptoms for 12 hours maximum.

According to my DivaCup, I have released an ounce of blood in 24 hours already. The first 3/4s was in about 8 hours flat. Hey uterus, you wanna cut me some slack and just stop bleeding now?

My uterus is constantly pulling the 30mls in 8 hours stunt on me. I can make it more manageable with ibuprofen (prostaglandin inhibitors can be used to treat heavy menstrual bleeding), but your mileage may vary. I just wanted to point out that there are treatment options. I didn't realise what was going on until I measured and found I was losing up to 3-4 times as much blood as the average person (who loses about 36mls). It's always been that way.

Yesterday I had my first period-free day since September. forking uterus. I hate these long asparagus periods and no doctor seems to be able to figure out why it happens.

I remember the days when my period was not heralded by low back pain and sore insides. Those were pretty good days. I did not adequately appreciate them.
I want to spend all of today curled up on the couch, but that is not in the cards.

Question - is there anyone who HATES the DivaCup and can tell me why? I've been debating getting one forever and a day now and I am curious as to the pitfalls associated with it . . .

Why do I have to get my period the day before I have to go to an important all day meeting with relatively few scheduled breaks. Why does the 2nd day have to be super heavy (like 15 ml every 2-3 hours). Dammit!

I think there's a menstrual cup thread somewhere. Some people in it were not super fans. I love my cup, though on days like today I am still running to the bathoom every couple of hours. However, it would have been more often with tampons.

My period is totally forking with me. Last night I went to the bathroom and had spotting, so I popped in my cup before I went to bed. I was fully expecting cramps when I woke up and was happy to discover that I didn't have any, because it's a work day. I also didn't have any real blood in my cup though, so it just hasn't started yet.

My boss is gone so I have to work a full day today, and now i'm living in fear that i'll get wicked cramps in the next four hours. The most likely scenairo is that my uterus is waiting for Brian to get here so I can tell him I have cramps and he can run away with fear in his eyes.

merr... I had some spotting about 2 weeks ago and thought it was here. fine. false. 45 days now...seriously, what is going on? My last cycle was 31 days, granted the one before that was 53...so I think I fall in the irregular cycle category. I took a pregnancy test last week, though, just to check and it said no, so that is a relief at least.

PERIOD, WHERE ARE YOU?

It's 6 days late now, and it usually isn't. This summer it was 2 weeks late once, but usually it's somewhat on time. Ahh this sucks even more than the stomach ache that is hopefully to come soon.

I'm ovulating and breaking out really gross. My pimples are generally the puss-y kind. I don't generally get small bumps, they're generally puss bubble things. Super gross. And on my face.

eta: haha, it filtered puss-y (minus dash) into kitten. Thanks filter, but I wasn't talking about boxbits.

not to laugh at your pain, but I love that you were - temporarily - having kittens on your face. I get both kinds of breakouts, though, it is nasty...cutting back on sugar has helped generally, but the PMS breakouts are ugh. I think I'd prefer kittens

It's here now. I don't get it why it's almost always on time, but twice this year it's been almost two weeks late. There's nothing unusual going on in my life, I'm not stressed or anything. Maybe my body just wants to worry me.

I cannot imagine having a period for over a month - does this happen as you get older, or is it just so with some people? In any case, I send my condolences!

It feels like it's been forever since my period but I think I'm just bad at keeping track of time. It's due to creep up on me any minute now...*looks behind shoulder*

I've had mine for 2 months. TWO MONTHS! I'm 22, so mine can't be to do with age. Think it's my BC. I've got an implant, which my doctor will be removing for me when I go home for Christmas, or I will get it out myself!

Luck me. I think I am perimenopausal! I get my period earlier now, they are heavier and to top it off, it stops for about 1 day on day three and then I get to experience the hell of day one for a second time in my cycle! What the hell?!

Okay seriously, it's like my uterus is trying to attract vampires, sharks, AND bears up in this shiitake, for some kind of insane "no need to BYOB" menstrual party. It's like, crazy crazy amounts of blood every time I look. What the heck.
