Are you making sure the little holes around the rim are clear? I do something I think of as the "fountain of Diva" to clear them, which is basically just pushing water through the holes with the cup against my palm.

This seems to have helped, thanks! I'll make sure to do that every once in a while just to be safe.

My Diva got kind of old - 3 years maybe? and it stopped working as well, but I have a 2. I saw a Lunette special so I got a Lunette and it doesn't work as well AND it's stiffer. So now I use my softer Diva until my period kicks in and it's easier to get the Lunette in right.

ACK. I just have Stretch X today, and Arms tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Ugh. STILL not getting my period. Again, i've taken a zillion pregnancy tests, but i'm still kinda half expecting them to all be wrong. I was so regular when i was on the pill before, and was regular for the first few months this time. I went to the doctor and got blood tests for iron and thyroid, which were both a-ok. The worst part is that i haven't kept my man informed. I know i should have told him when this first started, but he gets so worried about pregnancy and i didn't want to worry him. Like, if i feel sick in the morning (which is pretty usual as i have a touchy stomach) he will insist on a pregnancy test. If i tell him now, it will be like "Hey, i've been withholding information from you for months. Have fun freaking out about me being pregnant!"

i've used diva cups for about 7 years... and i still have no idea why sometimes it leaks and sometimes it's fine? i clean the holes, i've pretty much used every fold, it's in the same place every time... still more reliable than the other options, but i want it to be fail safe!

fingers crossed it doesn't come tomorrow - i'm reffing my first roller derby bout and will be on the outside of the track skating faster than everyone and i will not be able to deal with all that if i also have cramps/general period malaise/laziness/ache... i can just see myself falling over and crying in front of the entire arena or something.

I'm having like an extra hormonal shift this time around. Was PMSy last week, but not as much as I normally am (normal bloating, only a little bit emotional, a touch of cramping the day before), just enough to make me know it was coming. Day 1 of period, everything goes away, including bloat. Day three, EVERYTHING IS BACK WITH A VENGEANCE. I'm crying at everything, I look like I gained 5lbs, my guts are cramping and what the fizzle. I'm going to murder. I never get such a hormonal swing during my period. As if the blood wasn't enough.

We might be twins. I never really suffer from hormonal swings but at the end of last week I was crampy and had a short fuse, yesterday I was tired but super cheerful, and today I'm crampy and crying at everything. I hung out with some old friends yesterday and instead of feeling upbeat about it like I usually do, today I just keep crying about how much I miss them. I don't like emotional me. :(

Also, gas pain and bloat like woah.

Since period cramps aren't enough... I'm getting forking ovulation cramps. I'm not pleased, even though I know they only last a couple/few hours. I should just go to bed, but I'm also super horny and my dude is asleep and I shouldn't wake him up for sex. Maybe I'll have a beer.

Oh I get those sometimes!! They're more of a brief, stabby cramp.

Hope you woke him up!

Yep, brief, stabby cramps that really only lasts 2ish hours usually. While it's nice to know my body is working I don't really need 3-4 days of cramps with my period and then another 2 hours in the middle. That only gives me 22-24 non-crampy days a month! Add in the week of breast soreness the week before my period and I get 2 weeks a month where my body isn't annoying me with hormonal cycles.

I didn't wake up my guy, he looked really tired and went to bed really early so I would have felt bad. I managed on my own last night and will jump him tonight!

my last two cycles have been 18 days long (down from 26). guess that's true for this one, too, since i'm eating protein and chocolate like there's no tomorrow.

When I got my new phone I forgot to copy my menstrual calendar info so I have no idea when my period is due. Since I keep crying over happy stuff as well as sad I'm guessing soon? It should be fun once I stopped taking lamictal my cramps got better and my period shorter and lighter but now I'm back on it I'm sure it will go back to heavy, long and crampy.

I've been getting those too the last few months. I hate them, but I love that they're called mittelschmerz. It's fun to say!

I really need to remember what it's called. Mittelschmerz is fun to say.

Now I've moved on to pre-period boob pain. My actual periods aren't seeming so bad now, it's all the bullshiitake before and after it that peas me off. And most of this stuff is new in the last year or so... or at least is getting more consistent.

Thrilled that my period is off of that 18-day-cycle bullshiitake. Annoyed that it means I'm "expecting" my period for about 2 weeks. (Trying not to freak out too much before the 2nd. My boyfriend and I were not at all risky while he was here, but I'm still overly suspicious of a period that's not behaving.)

Oh now I'm here with ovulation cramps! Uggggghhhhh.

lutin even when I knew I wasn't pregnant and wasn't trying, I would sometimes take a pregnancy test just to make me feel better.

Just started. 27 days is great cycle length! I just wish my body wouldn't given me a memo about it or something up front, because fretting over it for 2 weeks suuuuuucks.

Mine seems to be 3-4 days early, which does explain why I felt compelled to eat all the chocolate in the house yesterday.

eta: and yesterday's migraine! phew. i was feeling like i was getting them under control but yesterday threw me, but now i get it.

The cramps and regular period back pain are making my back injury completely unbearable. Today is the first day in my life that I have ever stayed home due to miserable lady times. I want to punch my uterus in the face right now.
