Seriously. This is SO WEIRD.

I've been using lady Mitchum for ages since it was recommended on here and I've been SO happy with it. But suddenly, out of the blue, for the last couple weeks, my right underarm has been like forking Niagara falls.

Seriously, I am sitting at my desk right now with a pit stain literally 2/3 of the way TO MY ELBOW.

I've barely even been warm today, let alone hot enough to be breaking a sweat. But here I am, sweating up a storm.

It's happening in all my shirts, every day. It's incredibly awkward. If I wear a tank top, I get a big cascade down my side. It's gross and awkward, and now I'm afraid to lift my right arm AT ALL which is seriously a challenge because I have to write on the white board while teaching. And I am so uncomfortable and also my clothes are gross and I feel so unhappy.

Help. Please tell me that this is normal and there is something I can do to stop my over-achieving sweat glands. What has changed? What is wrong?

Ok that is weird. Is there any pain or discomfort? Maybe try another product or some talcum powder to help keep the area dry.

Sometime I think my deoderant stops working with my body after a while and I need to change brands. Its like I can smell myself and I havent been overally active or anything but all of a sudden I'll have BO by the end of the day. But if I switch it up the problem goes away.

Maybe a dermatologist would be helpful.

Mitchum stopped working for me after a few years. It was weird. But on both arm pits, not just one...

Same here.

I used mitchum for years then it stopped working for me. I switched to making my own deodorant for a couple years and now back to using mitchum the past couple of months. Everything is fine so far.

yeah if I remember correctly Mitchum also stopped working for me years ago. Maybe try Certain Dri on your right pit at night and see if that stops the sweating, and switch your daytime deodorant to something else as well.

Not to be all alarmist or anything, but I'd go see your Dr if it's that sudden, severe, and only on one side. FWIW it's called hyperhydrosis. Could just be your body being weird, or could have an underlying cause.

Thanks for all the tips and input!

Changing deodorant doesn't seem to have worked. Bugger. So I might have to see a doctor.

I'm getting more worked up and stressed by teaching this year, so it might be stress? I don't know. Changing deodorants seemed to have helped a little, so we'll see if this continues. At least I'm not gushing anymore, which was alarming.

Maybe this is a dumb question but are you using deodorant or antiperspirant?

the uni-lateral bit still warrants a dr visit IMO. if it were just the topical products it'd most likely be bilateral.

keep us posted.
