Worked on a farm for 4 hours today. Never knew it was THIS tough. I can barely move & I have to be at work for 4 more hours.

I soaked in an epsom salt bath twice this week after working out as a preventative measure and so far very little soreness. Not sure if it's just the hot water or if I maybe wasn't going to get sore anyway. I was sort of turned off by epsom salts because years ago I had a weird reaction after soaking in a bath with them- racing pulse and dizziness, but it seems to be ok now.

Hm, I might need to try epsom salt. I soaked in the hottest bath today (I thought I was going to get burns) and still I can't move from working on the farm yesterday.

DUDEZ, have any of you lost a toenail? I used to get blisters under two of my toenails, now it almost feels like there's a callous under there and the toenail really hurts. ARGH! Strange soreness I cannot stretch out!

My triceps are super sore, but only because they have been asleep for such a long time. It's a good hurt, right?

I hurt my hip flexor. Stretching, rolling, and currently icing. Ouch.
Not the kind of "sore" I'm used to or wanted.

I signed up for 2 months unlimited drop in yoga (special deal at my downtown yoga place) and the first class I took was their 'yoga for athletes' class. OMG. My shoulders and sides and general 'torso' area... so sore. SO SORE two days later!

Bleh. We'll see if I go back tonight. The class I'm thinking of seems fairly easy on the body.

I'm trying a bit more seriously to bulk up recently, and have been working on my biceps for the first time in a loooong time.

Also, I have just recently remembered that you can use an exercise ball like a bench and do presses at different angles. I used to do this, then stopped... so whatever muscles you hit doing incline dumbbell presses kind of hurt now...

Farm work, week 5. Still sore. And this time I hurt my injured arm from the winter. Yay for ace wrap!

My butt hurts from walking a slight up hill(since I haven't walked that much in forever). Can you imagine trying to go to the bathroom in the morning and your butt almost giving in? It wasn't that fun...at least I was to asleep to really remember it.

Hah. Also I remember in the beginning 8th grade our gym teachers made us do lunges. I never did lunges before. My thighs literally(absolutely no joke here) hurt for a week. I got made fun of for having a hard time trying to sit in my choir class because they hurt so bad.

Lou, I am volunteering at a CSA in York County for free food! I have to do 80 hours for the season. I plant, dig holes, lay tarp, weed ... anything the farmer needs me to do.

Awesome! And rewarding because you get to feel like a badass because farm work is HARD *and* you get free food!

In other news, I'm a bit sore today and not quite sure why.

Is your nail still there? I've had my nails come off before... from getting blisters under them or from general abuse. Is there a filled-up blister under there? It's probably resolved since your post is a week old!

My complaint... I'm sore from Saturday. I did the driving range for the first time ever and hit 2 buckets of balls. I'm pretty sure that's what caused it! I have a little bit of a throat-tickle cough and my whole abdomen/ribs/back hurts with every cough. I'll be taking a long hot shower tonight and trying to stretch muscles that I was unaware of previously!

The driving range always makes my entire upper body sore!

I've lost a couple toenails from hiking. The first one I went to the podiatrist to have it removed and the blister drained as the nail was about to fall off so that it didn't get caught on anything and get torn off. But he said that I wasn't in danger of infection or anything, so I removed the next one myself. Depending on how deep the damage is, it can take a couple weeks for it to actually fall off. It was actually less painful after the nails were gone. Takes quite a while for them to grow back though. My hiking shoes have been replaced with better fitting ones and my toenails are always trimmed back a little further on hike days and have had no more problems.

I was a little sore earlier this week in my hip/low ab area and my upper back. Took me a while to figure out...dancing Saturday night.

My sides... like the sides of my rib cage... have been sore for a few days. It's really annoying. The only reason I can think of for it is that the other day I somehow thought it would be a good idea to try to master the pretzel twist first thing in the morning. After a few tries, I realized it probably wasn't.
