Abs, glutes, quads, hamstrings, calves... and I'm supposed to run tonight. I've started using the foam roller, though. It hurts like hell while I'm doing it, but it feels great afterwards. (I did not foam roll after working out last night, which is my problem today.)

Three hours spent crouching in awkward positions drawing in sidewalk chalk. Cramped/sore buttocks, woo! Also because I need to get my chiropractor to re-fix my knee, the soreness in the back of my thigh has taken over my whole right leg and I'm hobbling around like a drunken camel. It's kind of fun.

My quads were so sore last night that I couldn't fall asleep until I took some aleve and waited for it to kick in. Around 12:45 I wanted to cry. But mostly they just feel fatigued this morning.

My chest is destroyed. I did one of the Hundred Pushups workouts, then went to the gym and did (among other things) dumbbell flys. Perhaps not the brightest move.

My thighs, chest, upper arms and abs all ache from boxercise yesterday. I never realised that boxing was so hardcore! (I was never allowed to watch matches at my parents house, my mother regards it as a barbaric sport and was afraid I'd see someone get paralyzed or worse.)

So two and a half weeks ago I hurt my leg dancing (to the Safety Dance, of all things), and I haven't been running since. The last couple days it's felt great, so I thought I'd take it for a run today. I had four miles planned, but after just a few blocks the pain was back in spades and I decided to cut out before I really hurt myself. I hate being hurt!

Nailed from training this week.... strength and conditioning class at the end of the week really took me out, and a follow up grappling class has left me with a very stiff neck to remind me of it.

SO SORE! We did 'Spiderman push-ups' in Club Strength, and they were super intense. My hips, quads, hamstrings are all really sore.

Toe nail update: It was a blister under the nail, which I've had before, but it looks like now there's another toenail growing under my toenail. It's weird. Nothing has fallen off yet. I might ask my doctor for a referral to a podiatrist... It doesn't look like there's danger of being infected, but it feels weird to just leave it in limbo.

The toenail growing under it is definitely a good sign! Safest bet is to go to a podiatrist, but if you're set on dealing with it alone, what my podiatrist did was clip off the loose part and then let the new nail push out the part that was still attached. I did the second one myself no problem after he told me it would be safe to do so if I needed to.

This happens to me every couple of years. Once the new nail has grown up halfway or so the old one just falls off and you have a kinda short toenail for a few weeks. It's never hurt and I never even really thought of it as something that required medical attention (thought I wouldn't discourage you from seeking it.)

I went biking yesterday night for no reason other than to bike. I definitely pushed myself pretty hard! It's a single speed too so I can really feel all those hills. My body is sore today! But, interestingly enough, I can feel it even in my arms... what? I don't really get that one. Maybe it's because I was doing that pedaling-while-standing-up thing? I don't know! It's kind of fun.

My back is really sore from lat pulldowns and my chest from dumbbell flys. That was Saturday, though, and I'm almost over it now. I'll be back at it tomorrow.

Before that, my left arm was really sore just from using some shears on some tall grass in the backyard. I always get sore from the lamest stuff, and therefore cannot complain to anyone about it.
