Hamstrings from the 14 mile run on saturday. Better today than yesterday. Special Friend says it's because of deficient protein intake or low calorie intake (he said nothing about veganism and was also commenting on his own soreness-he is non-vegan). I think it might be partly that and just partly my muscles re-building themselves after tiny little tears!

My shoulders still hurt from last Thursday. I think I pulled something.

I never get DOLS after one day but today I do. I dread to think how bad this is going to be tomorrow.

Yesterday I ran stairs, swam and went curling. Just about everything hurts and I have a 90 minute run in front of me today.

I was at a metal concert Thursday night, so there was some moshing and lots of jumping and lots and lots of air-fisting. I've gotten better since yesterday, but my calves were in lots of pain, the sole of one of my feet hurts like hell though it's getting better so it will hopefully be well enough to go for a run tomorrow. My shoulders and upper arms are ridiculously sore and have severely limitted range of motion. Also, bruises.

My lower back has been giving me jip for over a year. Anything more than about 5 minutes of walking and it makes me cry. It's just an awful grinding, burny pain. My doctor just tells me to take painkillers.

The place I work had a special event two days ago where my job was to show kids how to throw hatchets. My body won't move now because of running to retrieve the axes and then running back for the next kid for a few hours. This wasn't even one of those "I'm going to feel this tomorrrrrooow!" moments, it is completely unexpected.

so my boyfriend did a bunch of lunges & squats at the gym sunday afternoon - that night he could not walk - he even fell over a few times. he was only at it for like 15 minutes (i was at the elliptical with a timer)...he had to call in sick monday because he was super sore.

he goes to the gym a few times a week, treadmill and weights...some soreness but nothing like this...

i however feel pain in my ribs on my right side now for a week. i am thinking it was a pilates work out. i can do yoga (love it) but pilates & my body just do not mix.

My shins are so sore. I recently set a goal of walking 5000 steps a day (on average I was walking 1-2k a day before) and was surprised to find that event though I'm a runner my legs are killing me. I never get shin splints from running!

Quads. Lots of back squats lately. Doing dead lifts today to try to even things out. ha.

First day back to zumba in a month and a half Wednesday night. Everything is sore, but in particular I think my butt is going to detach and roll away.

yeowch... a combo of lifting weights, my knee injury prevention routine that is probably bogus because i made it up but it helps me sleep at night anyways, and chipping 3 inch thick ice due to all the freezing rain and snow we've had lately. i have a lot of elderly people in my life, so i've had to chip a looooot of ice. the worst is that i somehow skinned the side of one of my fingers with the shovel handle chipping ice, and it stings like mad right now.

My inner thighs are super sore and raw feeling from my walk. I really need to figure out how to prevent this.

I'm not sure if they've got Body Glide where you are...it's hard to find around here too, but any other anti-friction stick will work as well.

I did my 15k run yesterday..surprisingly my legs are totally fine....my back is sore though :(

Yesterday I walked to the park, did weights, and walked home. This morning at yoga class only two of us showed up and our teacher really worked us. All day today I felt like my muscles were made of jelly and it took so much effort to move. I knew that feeling was going to graduate to pain, and here I am!

I just hooped a lot the past two days, after hardly hooping at all the entire winter. This means my arms are sore... which did not bode well at all when I had to carry a box of 1,000 leaflets across a (small) college campus today. I had to stop SO MANY TIMES.

Of course, that gave me extra motivation to be a better leafleter because the more I handed out, the less I had to carry back to my car.

And then I got home and decided to ride my bike 2.2 miles to the store for some WholeSoy yogurt... I haven't ridden my bike since I hurt my knee back in August.

Spring is making me so motivated and energized but damn I'm out of shape (and already injured) right now and I need to slow down!
