Hey PPKers! I'm the Registered Dietitian that worked with Isa to write the nutrition sections for Appetite For Reduction. She said I have to post on here to keep my account active so I thought I'd share with all of you a cool little project I'm working on. It's called Day in the Life; I spend the day with vegan athletes seeing how they eat and train on a vegan diet and we make short documentaries about them. It's super fun! Our latest 11-minute episode is with a guy who served in Iraq twice and just attempted a 100-mile run! His path to veganism is incredible. Please check it out and let me know what you think. If you enjoy it, please share it with others. Thank you! Day in the Life 5; Ultrarunner Donovan Jenkins Attempts a 100-mile Run

That was amazing. I cannot imagine even thinking about doing an ultramarathon.

Excellent, thanks for sharing. I have started training for my second marathon (first as a vegan, actually converted and started training on 12/25/11) your video and this forum are a great inspiration and eduactaion for me.

Thanks everyone for your notes! What's been terrific about this episode is that it's making its rounds through ultra-running circles therefore indirectly exposing tons of people to veganism. Donovan really is a great advocate because he's so humble! Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it!

Hi Matt!
I loved this little doc! I'm a runner too but ultra running is amazing to me. Even as he struggled, Donovan looked so positive, ending a 23hr run with a smile on his face! I also really loved his story about his path to veganism. Thanks for posting.

That was great, I'm only a half-marathoner and so I can't imagine the pain you would be in running for that amount of time and distance. Thanks for this video!

Wow, that was amazing. So much respect for ultrarunners (and runners in general!)

Thanks for watching! I'm stoked people are enjoying it. We're talking about doing some screenings and a Q and A with Donovan, but probably only in California. If it happens, here or elsewhere, I'll be sure to let everyone know.

This was wonderful to watch. Thanks for making and sharing Donovan's story and I hope you can keep spotlighting vegan athletes in many sports.
Also, don't be a stranger to PPK! You'd be surprised how stuff leaps from PPK over to Facebook and vice-versa.
