I want a new phone just for this. Such a fantastic idea!

I'm beginning to give up hope on this joining the Droid peeps. And I'm not buying it in June or July because it's so friggin' hot here in the summer not even zombies can make it fun to run.

There's a release date for a Droid app but it's in June.

So it's on Droid now, but the weather here is hitting in the high 80's and mind 90's during the times I could run. As fun as it sounds, I'm holding off until the weather cools off some.

YES! I am actually upset that I am way too sore and tired to run today. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to try it out!

I've decided that once I finish Couch to 5k I'm getting this as a treat for myself. SO EXCITED.

Also, thank you to this thread and monkeytoes for posting the link to Run For Your Lives. I never heard of it, but that's the thing that got me to actually start C25K instead of just thinking about it. I am officially training to Run From Zombies.

I've used this app a couple of times now and I really like it! I can't believe how fast a 30 minute run goes when I'm listening to a story. Love the radio mode after the official mission part is over too!
It was a bit expensive but the fact that I went out at 8.30pm yesterday in the rain to run around the park is a sign that I am apparently very motivated by zombies!

So I finally decided to join 2013 and invest in a smartphone. Nothing fancy but I'm totally getting this now! I just checked the website again and there's now two different apps- one for beginners and one for the more advanced. The epic adventure costs about $8 but if I actually begin running because of the beginners app, I think the money is WELL worth it.

Totally worth it, this app is awesome!! I use it all the time and I still love it :)

People who have used this app: which version are you using, the zombies, run! or 5k training?

I've had the Zombies, Run! app on my phone for ages but I only started using it today. Perfect timing, because I've recently found myself getting bored with running and I needed something to change it up a bit (I run at the gym, especially at this time of year when it's starting to get dark earlier, so it's always the same). I only got about 20 minutes into it since I was running before Body Pump started, but it was fun! I'm looking forward to getting back into it tomorrow.

Literally, these two apps are the ONLY ones that will not download to my phone. I am so upset. These apps were the reason I bought a smartphone! They are compatible with my phone but won't download to it.

I finally started the 5k training app. The first workouts are a bit boring, but I've heard they get a lot more interesting around week 3.

Also, I ran for 10 minutes straight! I had no idea I could run for that long.

I tried it! It's pretty fun. During the first session, the guy on the radio was telling me to run towards the the tower and into the woods right when i was running towards the tower (cell phone tower by my house) and into the woods. It was pretty awesome. Being the nerd i am this just made it so much realistic.

I GOT IT TO WORK! Guess who's running tonight????
