I am pretty much loving my Up! 15,000 steps today! (But who's counting. . .heh heh heh.)

I really love the sleep tracking.

so the verdict is the flex is the best? i have been wondering lately if i should get one, and my pedometer just shiitake the bed, and i went ot buy a new one and it was $25 for a new one! i said i should just a fitbit if i'm going to spend more than 10.
i am not, frankly, thrilled with how the flex looks (my cousin had one yesterday and i thought it was a bit large). the jawbone looks better but i have a phone that is so sketchy that i'd prefer somethign that would work with the PC too, which i think means the flex.

Unless you absolutely want a bracelet, I'd probably go with the Fitbit One. It counts stairs climbed and has the sleep monitor and everything. I'm kind of wishing I got that instead of the Fitbit Zip (but Fitbit Zip was like $50 instead of $100).

i don't much like the bracelet but i am kind of confused. i thought the other one was like a zipper pull? if it's a clippy, then i guess i have a better chance.
is the diff between the zip and the one just the sleep function?

Sleep function and stairs climbed. Flex has sleep, but no stairs climbed. I'm actually really happy with the zip; I just clip it on my waist, bra, pocket. People talk about losing them, but I don't know. I haven't had a problem yet.

OH, the Zip has a replaceable battery, but the Flex and One are rechargeable. All three have an app and and a DONGLE.

I researched a bunch and knew I wanted fitbit and I went with the flex because I didn't trust myself not to lose the fitbit one. I definitely needed the bracelet option to keep track of it. I've had it since mothers day and am really happy with it.

There is a new option, too, that I am very interested in, but it's a little pricey and the Up is working for me.

This one looks most elegant of all:

That is actually really chic looking!

I wonder how it works for cycling. I don't really understand that. Or swimming I guess, but I'm more interested in cycling.

I know, it's weird, the cycling thing. I use a Garmin Edge on my bike and I just track it separately. But, the Up seems to count pedal strokes as steps somehow, so on days I ride about 20 miles I get close to my 10K steps. It is a mystery.

I do love how the Shine is like jewelry. It was still in development when I bought my Up. If I knew it would be out this fast I think I would have waited. Oh well.

I sent the email anyway bastah.

I'm so curious about the sleep tracking. Do you all use it for anything? What is it telling you?

It's kind of interesting. It tells me how long I sleep, how many minutes until I fall asleep and how many times I wake up during the night. Sometimes I wake up exhausted and can't figure out why, then realize that I woke up 15 times during the night. I also like to check in with in when I'm feeling extra run down and see if I'm sleeping less, it's a good way to convince myself to go to bed a little earlier.
