what's yours? can be body weight, weight lifting, edurance, anything!

started: October 2009
Pounds lost: 55 lbs
Pounds left to lose: 30

I lost most of it in a short amount of time (less than half a year), and the rest of the time has been a rollercoaster. I'll lose 10 lbs, then gain it back. ughhh

Congrats on your progress toward your goal! I'd like to gain 3 or 4 pounds of muscle and be able to bench press my own weight.

I would love to be able to do a "real" push up, not one from my knees. I've always struggled with this. Ultimately, I'd also like to run a half marathon but school doesn't leave much time for serious training.

I want to be able to do all the moves in yoga class, and properly! I've definitely improved since starting in August, but there are some things that are still really hard. Gotta keep at it!

I'd like to do real pushups, just one real pullup, and do handstand at the wall in yoga.

I'm going to do one hundred pushups!

I'm starting this today: http://hundredpushups.com/

I can do six right now, just barely. So it's going to be a long road.

Basically my goal right now is to start exercising again, but eventually I'd love to run a 5K. I know it's not that far, but I've never been able to run even a short distance (even when I was in much better shape), so this is going to be quite a challenge!

I would love to be able to run 10K again (currently at 5-6K) and also be able to hoist myself out of a pool (read: upper body strength).

And also for my thighs to stop rubbing together and threadbaring all of my pants.

-lose 15 lbs
-run a half marathon
-get enough endurance to start playing soccer in the spring
Right now I've started training for the half and I can tell you that in my book strength and endorphins wins over weight loss any day!

Do a full headstand (sans wall), and touch my head to the ground when standing in a straddle in yoga.

My current goal is to be able to comfortably stand for 15 minutes at a time. And to run a marathon.*

*Not really. My other (real) goal just seems so wimpy in comparison to the rest.

- lose 50 lbs
- do a pullup without any assistance
- learn how to rock climb (I'd like to lose a little weight before I do this)
- run something more than a 5k (8k? 10k? half marathon?)
- run a 10 minute mile (I slow)
- deadlift 300 lbs (we'll see, I think I could reasonably do it within a year)

run a sub 1:50 half marathon
run a full marathon

i'm taking winter off from really running and i hope to build up some muscle instead.

I was thinking of doing this as well-because I hate lifting weights.

I would also like to lose the 15lbs that I have gained since my foot drama started (I am beginning a second series of 10 sclerosing alcohol shots in my right foot Tuesday night- hopefully they will work this time), and hopefully go back to yoga if my foot improves.

Unfortunately I am currently on a ten day course of antibiotics (for something else) and am so nauseated and dizzy that really any exercise will need to wait until I am finished - which will be in another 3 or 4 days. I can't wait!

I would like to gain a couple pounds of muscle and be able to do 30 pushups. This will be a lot of work, I think.

I guess this sounds sort of vague, but my goal is to build more upper body and core strength. I think my legs are fairly strong from walking, biking, and dancing, but I don't feel like I have much strength in the rest of my body.

I really just want to start a daily/weekly fitness routine that doesn't bore the hell out of me. That's why I keep stopping them. I was thinking something like some sort of cardio 3-4 days a week, maybe some stretching on the non-cardio days and an aerobic routine stuck in there somewhere.

Add me to the push-up and general upper body strength crowd. Other than actual push-ups, I don't really have any clue how to go about doing this.
