I was up to running around 20 miles per week, lifting three times, and doing a bit of cross-training here and there, but for the past week I have done nothing but eat crepe and be immobile.
Tell me it will be okay! Console me with similar stories!

This happens to me mostly every holiday season, and I find once I motivate myself to get back to exercise one day, it's easy to get back into a pattern of working out regularly again!

everyone needs some time off - it's sooooo good for you - mentally, emotionally, and even physically. relaxing and eating lots of your favorites and really veg'n out is a-okay. don't worry about it - it's not worth the stress and don't feel guilty at all! just look back on all the yummies you enjoyed and all the time out you had and smile. :)

Muscle memory! You'll be back to your old routine in no time. Just give yourself a break!
IT WILL BE OK.

It will definitely be okay! Even my most hardcore exercising friend takes a whole week off every three months just to give herself a break. Your body will be happy!

The time between the holidays and the 6th of january is a time to relax, to hold, to pause. Enjoy, rest, go for a walk and re-start slowly.
