I got the flu twice in a row, and then one of my toenails started falling off and hurt like hell. boring story even more boring I haven't worked out in over two months and I got a reminder yesterday about a bicycle race I signed up for in November which happens in less than 6 weeks... So time to get going again.

I went to the gym last night! Stationary bicycle for over an hour.

p.s. the toenail is still attached, but I've been keeping it wrapped up. It's still uncomfortable, though. Should I pull it off? It started coming off because that particular toe is longer than the others and it got pummelled while running,

I have upped my gym game. I used to do a (30-minute) workout of weights and a little cardio two or three times a week. Did that for over a year.

Now I'm going to the gym 5–6 times a week*: either my usual workout with extra cardio or 30 minutes on the elliptical.

I'm a dripping, panting mess when I'm done with the elliptical, but I never thought I'd have even this much stamina.

*I am now on a 9-day streak, and I'm planning on going today, too.

Yesterday marked 13 days in a row at the gym. 30 minutes on the elliptical. Today I'm going to my circuit training (but with some extra cardio like I've been doing).

Skipped a 40 minute run (I have a cold, boo.) But ~1900 yards in the pool (not sure for sure because I skipped a bit of my assigned workout.) For some reason, swimming when I have a cold sounds like pure hell, but it always makes me feel better.

An hours ride yesterday. Still deciding if I should exercise today as I've been so exhausted after a really hard week at work.

Ugh, 7am trainer ride with coach T, high heart rate/low cadence to simulate climbing. Followed by half an hour of strength training.

3 km run. Was going to do a 6,5 K but it was so freezingly cold that I took another trail. I was dying out there! If only I could afford good winter running gear. Next season!

6,2 k run in the morning. 10 k bike ride in afternoon. 6,2 k is hard for me, so I was not pleased about getting up on that bike, but my driving license had arrived to the post office and I really wanted to go get it.

Four rounds of six 12kg snatches on each arm, one minute skipping, six 16kg double cleans, one minute skipping.
16kg double kettlebell swings.
12kg incline chest press.
45kg back squats (Raised the weights today! Will do so again tomorrow to 50kg.)

Today was a rest day because I did my long run yesterday BUT I had a physio appointment and part of my treatment is strengthening my glutes/IT band. Today's exercise was 4 consecutive minutes of single leg jump squats, then directly into 1 minute of "regular" single legged squats. 10 minutes of non-stop leg and butt burning hell. Oof.

That counts, right?
