This weekend was just me and the elliptical. If I go to the gym tonight, it'll be my old weights-and-cardio deal.

(The Streak is at 29 days.)

Well done Footie! I've never managed more than 6 days in a row.

Today I started technique on the jerk. It's one of those moves that seems so complex when it's broken down into each little movement but I'm sure it'll come together like the snatch did in time.

Also did a circuit of 10 reps on each hand with a 12kg kettlebell of one handed swings, cleans, half-snatches and push presses.

We only had a very brief conversation about this as we were finishing the session, but I'm going to compete in the UK kettlebell open in September. Exciting!

Lower body workout. I have a nasty cold but still managed to up the weights or reps on all exercises. Also did a 20 minute killer core workout at home. It was horrible, I will be so sore tomorrow.

1 hour class at the gym called "indoor walking" that's like some sort of eliptical and the class is a lot like a spinning class. Love it! It's exhausting. Only downside (and it's a big one, it really puts me off), me one foot are getting numb while doing it. No idea why.

Team track practice: 1000 repeats at sub-5k pace. Hurts so good. Darn coach is determined to make me a fast runner yet. :P

Upper body workout. Since I'm not completely well, I took the opportunity to deload on the weights and concentrate on muscle contact/form/ROM/hypertrophy. Got some real nice pump. Adjusted my routine a little bit too, picked out the best parts from my current program and mixed it with some stuff from the program I had before.

Also 75 min power yoga to clear my head.

This happens to me on the elliptical sometimes. I worked out that I need to tie my laces looser because apparently my feet swell if I use that machine for a while!

I've tried that and while it might be a tiny bit better, it doesn't help. It get numb pretty much straight away. Next time I'll try to untie the shoe right away.

8 k run! It felt hard today but I managed to keep going! I realized after the run that I ran a bit faster then last time at the same distance so that might be why.

Hour ride on the trainer. Mostly fairly easy spin, but with a series of high cadence/hard gear max efforts.

I worked on changing my technique, from fitness to sport. Applied this to one handed swings, cleans, snatches and jerks and also worked on my technique for the descent of my snatches.
After this, I did three 3 minute sets of one handed swing, snatch then clean and press.
Then I maintained some holds, which was holding a 12kg kettlebell overhead at the top of a snatch for a minute, and then two sets of farmers hold for one minute each, with 20kg then 16kg in each hand.

Another half-hour on the elliptical, about 2.5 miles.
