Swim test (3x300 at the fastest pace I felt I could hold over all three... which was slower than the last time I tested. Discouraging, but to be expected with how little I swam over fall and winter.)

1:00 ride on the trainer. High cadence, increasing effort/HR by 10 minute intervals.

Crossfit. Lots of "power snatch" which made me giggle.
I know, I'm not a teenager.

Track workout was a ladder: 200, 400, 800, 1600, 800, 400, 200. The intervals leading up to the mile were supposed to be at ~5k pace, faster on the way back down.

Day 39 of the streak. I only managed 20 minutes on the elliptical. Took a break to test my blood sugar (I'd been lower than I'd like to be before driving to the gym), and it was far too low to continue.

I feel like this every time I mention snatch, especially when I increase my snatch weight.

15 snatches on each arm with 12kg, then 10kg and then 1 minute of one-handed swings.

Cumulative weight of 3.7 tonnes!!

Lower body workout. Squats were good, my deadlift form is getting a bit sloppy with increased weight so I'm gonna deload next time and work on that.

Also did a 20 minute core workout.

Monkeytoes what are 4x5' hill repeats?

I ran 14 miles at a snail's pace and biked 12. Snail's pace because I did ~4 miles of hill running yesterday (up and down the same hill, with the November Project)

Worthy exercise indeed! Which sanctuary? Is the donkey sanctuary out your way?

Warm up, run up a long steep-ish hill for 5 minutes, jog back down, repeat three more times, then cool down. Coach T seems to think hill repeats are the best way to get fast; I think they're the best way to get sore glutes. :)

2.5 hours on the trainer, mostly zone 2 but with 4x5 minute high zone 3/zone 4 efforts. Followed by a 30 minute run.

Beginner vinyasa class - I am a yoga newbie so even though it said beginner it was so hard! I need to start doing some yoga at home in between the 1-2 beginner/stretch yoga classes that I go to each week in order to build up more stamina!

I do that! And I wouldn't make any claims to getting faster because of that. I am getting PR's on the hill & stadium climbing now that I'm doing more flat running/long runs though!

Thirty 16kg glute raises.
Twenty four 52.5kg squats.
Twenty two 27.5kg military presses.
Twelve 12kg snatches.

I got very little sleep last night and was so tired I couldn't finish today. Plus I'm really bored with my current routine.
